  1. This kosher site claims that castoreum (spelled castorium on the site), derived from beaver sex glands, is used in some berry flavored drinks. I've also heard it's used in orange soda. The encyclopedia says: "Both sexes have scent glands located in a pouch in the anal region. The musky secretion, castoreum, which may function as a sexual attractant, was once believed to have medicinal properties, and the glands, or castors, were of commercial value. " This page says it's been used in medici...

  2. If you are looking for a generator and are unable to find one I had some delivered to the location that I work at.

  3. I do not post much on here, more reading than anything, but I have to comment on this. THIS IS AN AMAZING LOOKING CAR!!! ONE WORD= AGGRESIVE!!!
  4. I have had my delete on my LPT ECU in for approximately 1000 miles with no CEL. I now have a T5 ECU with no CEL and I am at 600 miles. I have already removed all of the components that I could from the PCV system and have no problems there either. I have the LPT ECU laying around with the delete already done, if you want to borrow it. If you decide you want it done, send me yours and I will do it for you. I just need mine back before I send out the new one to IPD for my upgrade. I am not doing that till the summer though. Have to save $$$.
  5. This was one of the easiest mods ever, once I was told what I was doing wrong. I have done it on two separate ecu's already. It takes all of 5 minutes. If you are ever in the Philly area, I could give you a hand. Just bring the diode, I have the iron and solder.
  6. Thanks everybody. My birthday was great!!!

  7. I am up to a 100 miles and all is good. I have an sas ok on my reader and no check engine. This was an awsome post. Thank you for all of the help.
  8. Ok, here is where I am at. I tested the air pump relay by switching it with the main relay, car still started. I have the ECU in front of me right now and I did the diode off of another post that had it running from A32 to B38. I have the direction correct, but should I switch it to the way it is done in this post. The only thing that I do not know how to test is the solenoid. I read a post under the repair section and the instructions are not to clear for me. From what I can see, once these areas are covered I should be in the clear.
  9. I hit 50 miles today and popped the code again. I disconnected that purple vacuum line and capped it. I disconntected the pump at the clip next to the battery tray. If all of this is correct I am going to pull out the ECU and verify the position of the diode. My pump was turning on prior to doing this which tells me that the relay above the fan was working. Is there a chance that the solenoid is bad. How can I check this?
  10. I followed the instructions and put the Diode in the ECU. I disconnected the pump, as well as the purple vacuum line at the back of the valve, above the turbo. I put a cap on the vacuum line as well as the valve. I am up to forty miles again, but have not thrown the code for the SAS system, yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I will post an update when I get to 150, unless I throw the code again. Once I get to that 150 mark, I am taking the SAS system out one component at a time just in case I throw the code, I will know what it is. I am going for the pipe to the exhaust this weekend first. Thank you for the help. This is an amazing post and I want to give kudos to the people who took the time to figure this out.
  11. What does this do for the P0410 code? I have a 98 S70 GLT. I put a 2.3 and a 16T turbo in it. I have the OBX exhaust and I am throwing the P0410 code. I put the diode in the ecu and I reset the system with my code reader. After 40 miles I popped the same code again. I can hear my SAS pump kicking on occasionally, it is definitely bad with the whining noise that it is making. After the diode fix, I still hear it kicking on. Does it sound like I did something wrong with the install, or am I trying to fix the wrong problem? My inspection is due on Saturday and I will get another two weeks after if I fail, but I would love to pass the first time around. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
