1. Sorry I meant the K16. I have seen numbers up to 350 at the wheels on the website of Elevate. Sounds amazing, but don't push it too far for the std engine block.. Keep us updated with the progress - and I love the wheels btw!
2. Very cool, Goodluck with this new car hussein. What about the power output with the K04?
3. Any other track mods foreseen johann? Brakes, tires, exhaust, suspension? :) :)
4. I think you should be quite satisfied with this setup and these outputs tbh. So well done and keep the good work up. Interesting how nobody calls it a day after a big performance build, it's never enough :)
5. Hussein...I've been at the same situation last year and understand your feeling. Only reason I still have the volvo is because I have a 2015 audi next to it now. It's important to have something reliable next to it that just always starts and drives comfortably...as at the stages where we are with our engines anything can happen and you never know when the next breakdown is going to be. That said, I would hate to see you quitting the XR... and although I would opt for your ENEM's, I wish you find the strength to continue! Like piet said, drop pan and lift head(can do this in a few hours) and you will know what's up.
6. I'm a bit surprised by your choice for the ACT clutch, normally you would say that the 707 in combination with the R disk can maintain the right amount of torque for your setup. Any specific motivation tgat you went with ACT? Would be interesting to know, as I am dropping in my 707 next weekend with R disk.
7. Ah that's too bad hussein, but I know all about dissapointment at the dyno It's always a good way to test your setup. There's air, fuel and a spark...so the rest is peanuts ;)
8. Way to go Hussein...many luck on the rollers. Mine is going tomorrow..
9. Good progression, are those studs that you are using the right ones for this application? Reason i ask is because once one snapped on me, think because of the heating/cooling down process they expand and need to be able to stretch.
10. Did you switch between EGT and inj duty cycle in those last logs Hussein? I am surprised by your low EGT's in the previous run, hitting 1228 fahrenheit (664 celcius) at 7500 rpm. I hit around 1750 fahrenheit (950 celcius) in that region. I dont know where your sensor is mounted, mine is in the lip of the R-manifold just before the turbo where the gasses of all 5 cylinders come together.
11. Short comment on the water injection: I see this as a quick fix and this is not really solving the problem. Therefore I would solve the fuel volume issues first.
12. Exact same that I was thinking, the airfilter looks a bit small. What is the ECU doing with the boost signal?
13. That looks good, is it the 330 set? By the way, I like the studs on your hub. Is it easy to convert to that?
14. Seems like you keep experimenting with the plug gap Hussein? I drove with 0.0236 / 0.60mm, this worked well for me.
15. Running into the same " You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community." problem, just right now. Firefox 23.0.1 | Ive never had the problem before actually. If I hit preview then all the pictures are shown, all are in between and tags. Having the same problem with IEX, and also with quick reply or full editor, pressing Preview, etc.
16. It's really valuable that you are sharing your data logs all the time - thanks for that Hussein. Just a question on the side: how do you format your cells so that the TIME shows up in the correct way (seconds)? If I export to excel it just shows up as numbers that hardly make sence Also, could you feel/hear/notice the timing pull if you wouldn't have looked at the data? Does it show up if you compare acceleration logs with previous tunes that had less timing advance? (So there would be no pulling of timing)
17. Dont get the MSD blaster, buy an original Bosch one. Yes, 3x more expensive, but yes, 3x better as well.
18. Shame to read this, I think a new gasket kit + bolts and used valves (thorough clean + measure wear on the stems) is your cheapest option. And if you are getting all new valves, then you can as easily consider a complete new head. Last time I checked it was €1100 here in NL.
19. So recognizable... I went to the Volkswagen and Volvo dealership last weekend as I can choose a new lease car for the company that i work for. I can drive it privately as well if I want to, it will cost me about $200 a month and that includes insurance, unlimited miles, no maintenance costs, etc. The 850 costs me +- $600 every month for insurance, gas, road tax and that excludes maintenance. But, I never thought that I would find a car that would suit my needs. But...the new Volkswagen Jetta 2.0 tsi (GLI in USA I think) has a good 252 bhp once chipped by ABT, nice 18" wheels, full leather interior, sport chassis, etc. Driving that + saving me probably $6k+ a year..I must be crazy to say no! And the Jetta drove really nice... (and no hussein, i wont place Volkswagen pics in your thread )
