  1. Lighting is throwing it off. Here's a mirror cap in the same color as the wheels. The right way? I'm flattered. Ha! Thanks dude. Thank you! Space helps.. my garage is a 3/4 car garage.. I feel your pain! I was just fortunate enough to have my pops allow me to take up his 3 car for the job. I am yet to see it in the sunlight, hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get some good shots of it. I got paint on my dome, want some?
  2. Looks great! changing 850's to blue must be the thing to do this week
  3. I assume you said suby in reference to the colors however, this blue is not even close to Subaru blue and I don't recall green being an option for wheel color. ;-) thanks man.. I'm looking forward to it as well. Been a long time coming. Thanks andyb5
  4. After 2 years... some progress has been made. Dad (laird) is moving. His garage is where the wagon has lived and been worked on since it's aquisition. Due to the move and also because it's no longer wise to motorbike, progress has been accelerated. Couldnt have done it without him, thanks dad. Decided to paint it midnight blue Volvo 604. The wheels are Nissan JSO olive green pearl. I used 5 Star Extreme primer which can be mixed a few different ways for different things; Sealer, high build, and high build flex. Paint is a single stage urethane by Limco. Far from complete, but I'll let the pics do some talking.
  5. Been dragging my feet, but it now runs. Everything sounds good, a little high on the idle though. TA's installed yesterday. Haven't driven the car.. aside from moving it in and out of the garage. Next up is tackling the body work.
  6. Great work.. so speedy! I wish I worked this fast!
  7. Because the NA heat shield was trashed, the turbo shield looks much cleaner, and in the event that this project takes a turn for the "quicker" It's one less thing to worry about.
  8. Got the motor in today. Still needs a few things done before I can fire it up: Needs new battery, radiator and front end need to go back in, all fluids, clutch bleeding, and a few other misc. things. Snabb short shift + bushings
  9. Correct! The process I described was in response to fitsofrage99's question. I forgot to quote. Lets hope the engine fires up once it's in its new home.
  10. I masked everything off, then sandblasted it. After cleaning things up, I sprayed it with a metal etching primer, followed by colored engine enamel and clear coat engine enamel.
  11. Got the bay stripped down, scuffed up, and painted. Hopefully within the week, I'll be able to get the bay put back together, and with any luck, get the engine in.
  12. oh he's not that old, haha! And thank you, wont be fast, but should look pretty decent when it's done.
