Oh my God, that steering wheel!!! <3
Had to get that wheel from New Zealand. Why couldn't we get cool stuff like that here?

Ballsy going out on the sand! I did that once in my red wagon, promptly got stuck. We took our family down there once, but Ryan didn't care for the wind so I had to sit in the car while my wife tried to enjoy herself all alone. Looks like you picked a great day for it!

Coming together nicely, Taras! I need to see it in person some time.

So... who's going to IPD?
Going for sure. Not sure if we'll make it a family affair and take both Volvo's. I think it's about time to start a f/s thread to see what's worth hauling down to Portland.

Nice early Corvair. I've always had a weak spot for later cars, though this one might be a little over the top.

Last year the local (South Puget Sound) people met up with northbound Kalvin and friends at the I-5 rest stop just north of Tacoma. No reason not to do it again this year.
-
That I-5 rest stop worked out well for us last year, let's do it again.
-
Taking both of our cars, hopefully. With any luck, I'll have yet another 850 before then.

I should be moving into my new house around that time, Greg. Come on over and earn some pizza/beer/whatever!

If you bike/walk on the ferry like I think Adam (adamjjohn203) does it won't be as miserable on a Friday as trying to drive a car on. Seattle's nice to visit, but I like how much calmer it is on my side of the water. Bainbridge seems quiet as well, but I've only spent a little time on the island, goofing around.
-
I wasn't using it. Yet......

I guess while we're on the subject, how about the first Countach parked next to the last one.

Get an M59 and try to lock out the front wheels at the diff and strengthen the collar and bevel gear
Huh? M59 is still a FWD trans, just has a limited-slip VC splined to it. Maybe the AWD 5-spd M58?

On an unrelated note, does anyone know of any yellow '95 850 T5R wagon for sale? Or anyone that has one that may be persuaded into selling theirs? I know Spencer won't sell his, but how about anyone else? There's gotta be one that can be talked out of the current owner's hands...
Yup, well-known local wagon could be yours. I'll send you more info.

Is this gonna end up some kinda circus wagon, where PNW guys keep crawling out of the same wagon?
-
If my current employment situation doesn't improve by then, I'll ride shotgun Gregg.

Anyone want a charcoal C70 interior? Mostly complete, I think the headliner/dashpad/steering wheel were already sold. Complete wood trim will be included.

Jon, if you don't mind working 12-hr days, 6 days a week, could use your help setting up a cement plant up here. Once we're ready for production, should drop down to 5 10-hr days.

Too good not to share
When I enlisted, I REALLY wanted to serve aboard a battleship. All are now decommissioned, but there are several afloat as museums. The USS WIsconsin is open to visitors in Norfolk, and is a cool site to see.

Pry the entire 'floor' out of the plastic casing by levering where the visible plastic tabs are located. Once the aluminum plates are free of the housing, the forward section can be hinged/pivoted upward & separated from the back section & flipped over to access the two wires.
Thanks for the tip, we got it worked out this afternoon.

Yellow sedan with a shocker sticker one the back window, '96-,'97 R seats, been in Washington its whole life. Anyone know this car?
-
It's a job I need to tackle on my wife's car. I'm in NO hurry.

Got an unknown set of whites laying around, not likely to install before ipd. PM if interested.

PT Cruiser, eh? Even if you'd made eye contact while driving, I'd have to ignore you. Let's get together this weekend.

Having recently completed a rack replacement on my VR, I'll go ahead and comment it's a pain in the ass. Not a whole lot of room with the bevel gear and sway bar in the way. If I EVER have the need to do it again with an AWD, I'll drop the whole subframe and not just the rear.
