  1. BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: '98 S90, 157k on chassis, set up to run an LS3. NO DRIVETRAIN OR EXHAUST IN THE CAR. $1,250. TONS of extras included. Located in Boston, MA. DETAILS: HISTORY - '98 Volvo S90 with Ross Converse-swapped LS3. Bought car in 2010 or so, reverse gear went out in ~2013 so naturally the fix would be to v8 swap it 🙂Swap completed by Ross in 2014. The car was my daily driver until about 2016, when the 6L80E started slipping (it was unmodified except for the torque converter, unlike the engine mated to it). She was 95%+ completed at the time of failure... I hadn't touched the exterior (oxidized roof and a small dent in the rear) plus I needed to fix the coolant temp sensor not sending to the factory gauge and add my stereo of choice and some gauges. The car sat waiting for me to have time to work on her, being cranked occasionally and driven around the block from 2016-2018. Then we moved to a new location and a new home (with no garage). As the car sat, I discovered that Audi makes fun cars and they'll put the V8 in there for you, so the incentive to finish the project diminished considerably. You can guess the rest of the sob story, as it sat for the past five years, occasionally being started and run around the block. Finally, I decided we needed a pickup truck, and that pickup truck will need an LS motor, so I've decided to yank the mill out of the Volvo and put it to use. SPECS & PARTS - This is by no means a complete list as most of it is from memory, but it should give you a good idea that little expense was spared in this initial build, and many of the included "go-fast" parts alone are worth the asking price, notwithstanding the car they come with. POWERPLANT: Block & trans pulled from a 2011 Camaro SS w/ about 11k miles at the time, bone stock. Transmission does have a slightly higher stall speed torque converter... nothing outlandish as it was a DD. HPTuners flashed and tuned ECU set up as a standalone. LS3 was a converted L99 (again... Camaro SS automatic) that had AFM/DOD disabled/deleted but that kept Variable Valve Timing. ECU, wiring harness, and mounts will stay with the vehicle (I need new ones for the truck swap), so just drop in a new motor and go. DRIVETRAIN: A few added chassis braces (strut tower, lower brace, etc) are the only suspension upgrades IIRC. The wheels shown have decent winter tires on them. A/V & INTERIOR: Interior is basically stock. Wrinkled door cards, a spot of chewing gum or something on the back hat shelf, some sagging headliner above the doors, but otherwise in very good condition for the age. Trunk is outfitted with a custom 3-panel enclosure to hold an Alpine 12" sub on one side, a tool/utility kit on the other, and a fire extinguisher in the middle. The middle is removable so you can use the ski pass-through. This is a bit of a weird thing to brag about, but the interior actually smells really good. TO-BE-INSTALLED PARTS & SPARES: I have a custom rear big brake kit and a custom bumper & lower lip that are truly one-of-a-kind, blending the S90 look with the V70R. Tons of original printed service manuals for every subsystem of the chassis and many other small parts and pieces. It's all or nothing on the car and the parts. The price reflects that. I do not have the time or inclination to play pick-and-choose, and am willing to throw in hundreds of bucks worth of extra parts to make sure it's a "no-haggle" good deal for the buyer, and "time to turn the page" closure for myself. Contact me if you're interested and we can talk more; if you're seriously interested, I can dig up more details, take more photos, and so forth. Give her a good home and get this project across the finish line... she deserves it. Thanks for reading this far. -Jon
  2. 5x108 pattern. Bought used several years ago to mount on an LS-swapped ‘98 S90 sedan but never got around to rolling the fenders so they’d fit. They’ve just been sitting and now I’m pulling the drivetrain for another swap. Tires are around 8/32 and are older but still in good condition. Rims are in EXCELLENT condition and the fifth rim (spare, no tire mounted) is new, I think. No rash, just a little dusty from storage. Happy to take more pics or a video for interested buyers. Local pickup preferred but willing to ship at buyer’s expense. $1750 OBO. Thanks for your interest! -Jon

  4. Okay... time to throw my hat into this ring. I'm not a fan of the new format, but I seriously doubt that the mods of this site made the decision to move to it frivolously. Maybe it was the scams, maybe it was to increase site revenue, maybe it was some other back-office decision point I don't know or care about. I'll deal with it, because it's better than nothing. Maybe I'll post stuff up on other forums too or on eBay instead of just throwing it on VS and waiting for it to move, but I'll still try to work with this site however it's configured. If the site gets a few pennies of the final value of stuff I sell, then that's cool. I'm pretty sure I get more out of this site in terms of information than it gets out of me in terms of the aggregate cash value of my membership. Sorta like the hungry fat kid who goes to the all-you-can-eat buffet and the owners say "oh crap... we're gonna lose some money on this one." My .02: Folks can whine about the change, blame the mods, blame a few errant shithead members, or point fingers wherever they want. I would suggest that members should make their opinions (positive or negative) known to the powers that be through this forum in a professional manner, then take whatever individual actions (positive or negative) they wish by either embracing the new system or taking your traffic elsewhere or doing nothing or some combination thereof... the aggregate result of all the users reacting in this manner will cause the change to stick or be altered or be removed entirely; live with the result. Otherwise, it's like bitching about the person who's in office when you didn't get your ass off the couch to vote in the last election. By the way, I would appreciate it if a mod would help me activate my "VS For Sale" membership because Uncle Sam strips the links out of all the emails that go into my acct, so I can't click the link to activate it even though I have registered. Good luck, VS. -Jon

  7. Bump. All this stuff is still sitting around in my garage... only the silicone hoses and BBK are sold. Someone was saying they were going to buy the suspension components (got all the way to "send me your paypal address, I'll pay you today"), but after loading the darn box in the back of my wife's SUV and letting her drive it around for a month, I've completely given up on that. Anyways, BUY THIS STUFF! -Jon Oh, the list is in the very first post. Don't bother asking for pictures... all of the items are self-explanatory anyways, and if I didn't take pictures before I left, how do you think I would get them now?
  8. The brackets that IPD sells are for mounting Porsche calipers and S60R FRONT rotors to the FRONT wheels of a P1 car. IPD's brackets are made by CJ, who ALSO makes brackets for mounting S60R REAR calipers and S60R REAR rotors to the REAR wheels of a P1 car. Correct me if I'm wrong... -Jon Your sig picture is waaaaaaaaaay cooler than mine -J
  9. I hereby retract said PM... it was hard enough convincing the wife that I needed an LSD for a car I wasn't even going to be driving for almost a year, but trying to squeeze out a big brake kit from her a couple weeks later proved to be the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back. I love my car... but I'd rather not have to sleep in it when I finally get home Thanks anyways, Boomin.... -Jon
  10. There are adapters made for both the front AND rear S60R brakes to fit to the P1 chassis... if you SEARCH enough you will find them on this site. This is a very tempting offer, Boomin'... I would like to go with the S60R front and rear on my '99 C70, but I'd like to use EST's performance 2-piece rotors rather than the stock ones. Of course, that'd bring the grand total up to around 3 large, and by that time you're in the same ballpark as a front and rear Rocketeer or WP Pro setup. What to do... what to do.... -Jon
  11. Given the directional loading and material used to make the brackets, I think that they would suffice just fine. If they were aluminum... hell no! Anyways, if you decide you need to part with those R calipers (front, rear, or both) just drop me a PM and I'll take them off your hands -Jon
  12. Thought I saw a post a few weeks ago regarding a bracket to mount the FRONT R calipers to 850 & 70 series volvos. Perhaps a SEARCH would yield some results? -Jon
  13. Hardy har har My dad is driving the car while I'm gone, so he'll need the pod! -Jon I'm sure it would... I've just got to get rid of this stuff and I'd rather have a VS member get it. -Jon Silicone hoses are SOLD. -Jon
