they should bring back turbos for F1 and let them go nuts BUT ... then again another one of the reasons for not letting them do that is only those with big $ can play AND i do not know if the tech for keeping the cars on the road can keep up with the power of the engines i am fully with you on the ban ... kick them out for a few races ...will make people think again about cheating @ least untill they figure out a better way to do it

volvo did the same thing with thier rwd cars .... hell even some of the fwd's are like that, never mind the volvo's had a lot more power .. most cars had a turbo, or you could just bolt on a turbo to an n/a engine and make lots of power and still last 400k+ if taken care of ....tho if i was trusting my life in an accident i would much rather be in a volvo than a toyota ... so why is not volvo near the top? maybe they just cost to much ... but hey the old used cars should of been more popular yea sure the old toyo trucks are nice but i have been in and worked on lots of thier cars and eh is all i can say about them... the 22re is one of the best engines i have seen as they love to just take abuse myself i would much rather prefer a honda to drive engine/drivetrain wise if we are talking about Japanese imports. toyota is nothing special tho they figured out a way to do it w/o any kind of fun car for the last few years ya'll can trash talk nascar all you want but untill you have done racing like that you really have no place to say how hard or easy it is ... i used to race 1/4 mile clay oval and trust me ... a lot lot lot harder than you think(tho loads of fun on clay). and there is cheating in anything that people compete in ... that is just how the world works as this is why we have rules and what not to try to stop the people that cheat as everyone wants to be #1 and will do whatever it takes to do it hell we used to cheat to make weight as otherwise we could not even compete with the others on the track(was a 2bbl limited class and a few ran 4bbl's and other tricks to get extra air in... you would be amazed @ how quick they could swap carbs on an engine so by the time the tech guy got there it would be back to a 2bbl).... either way we would always find the heaviet guy in our crew and have him drive the car up to tech even tho he did not fit @ all. along w/ sometimes lean on the car so that side of it meets the weight spec. then again i think everyone did that to meet weight i'd love to see nascar use OEM spec cars and blocks and have to build those up to 700hp and make them last .. that would be fun either way down with limits let them go 300mph around the track just build larger walls to keep them from killing as many people when they crash

funny tho that it is a toyota car AGAIN caught cheating also notice they mention a few other cars also getting hit for cheating but they say nothing else than others were also caught cheating either way funny that toyota is back to its cheating ways ... wonder what it means they do to thier normal street cars to make them sell as well as they do ... maybe they inject you with crack through the seat so you have to go back and get more

works for me ... i typically have attitude bout everything s odo not take it to much to heart .... its just .. i thought everyone knew that they were both the same size the way they work might lead one to think it is a smaller turbo feeding a larger .. but you do not see that to often on a stock car

if you have any info on twin charged rally audis i'd love to see it .. never heard of them and dude what the FOCK are you talking about the supras the turbos wer ethe same size not a small and large after trying to state something like that i lose almost all ability to trust anything you say unless you can back it up bud of mine owned a 500whp supra ... upgraded the stockers and lots of cam and exhaust

all of the famous audi rally cars were just single turbo

uh ... the exhaust manifold getting that hot is 100000000000000% normal even on an open downpipe setup that is perfectly normal for things to glow like that under full throttle and a single well sized turbo on a properly tuned engine will make the same if not more power

99% of the cars that come like that stock .... switch to a single turbo for power

should be a VW/audi engine and they did make factory turbo ones in the 7 series so i see no reason why you could not swap over stock parts to turbo it nothing new .. more than a few people have pimped out the diesel engines sa they make HUGE torque

i offered them @ 180 and no one wanted them .. oh well guess all of the local guys get em .. ugly but they work just as good as something that cost 5x as much as soon as i can afford a fwd car i should be able to build a few more a bit less

still almost 1k less ... and extra ECU is $100 from lots of online junkyards.. really easy to find 1k is a lot of $ that could be spent elsewhere like on that intercooler setup from dougy haha

you miss read ... he already listed a TURBO back exhaust for $500 .. so how can you add another 750-900 for just the downpipe and cat so take 900 off that final total .. as said many a times ... paying more than $800 for a complete turbo to tail 3" exhaust w/ two mufflers and cat is pretty insane and for others ... turboback , turbo to tail, full exhaust all mean including downpipe
