  1. Probally because Homeland Security would screen all of them for terrorist risk  After 9/11, you pretty much doom trying to get into the U.S due to all the current process in place. It's already hard enough for technical skilled workers to get work visa (HB1) to work for companies like Intel. This is another reason why the U.S can't compete with other country if they can't source the best workers.

In serious note, I agreed with you but it's hard to walk the talk especially for the govt.

Thats funny, seems easy enough for all of the illegal immigrants to get up to Mass and work. There are at least 3 where I work that I know of for sure. There is no effort here to get these people out of here either. Fake Driver's licenses and SS cards too.

  2. Wow guys thats looking reallyl hot!! I actually like the gold Canistos.... hmmm giving me some ideas hahaha ahhh to many projects, and I just got done painting my roof, spoiler, and side trim gloss black. This month the hood, tailgate and rear bumper are next. weeee

    Congrats on your cars guys,

  3. Anyone get their bar? How is it?

I've been emailing/PMing Slater since the beginning of August on these and no response. I know to be patient with Slater on things but it's been almost a month and no response. :( Anyone know what's up with Slater?

I received an email from him today. He has been having more serious health problems. Be patient. :) Get better soon!

  4. who's to say that the first set of weitecs is the same as the ones they're selling now?

you may have gotten the good versions in the beginning, but they began shipping the generics since the demand was increased

I think it would be the other way aroudn unfortunately. If the demand increased, I think they would design their own shocks then.

My shocks/struts are the same ones that you can buy from FCP.

  5. Before they went on the car we compared the Weitec shocks to the stockers by just compressing them by hand. It was definitely harder to compress the Weitecs and my stockers on had about 80k miles on them.

well yeah thats a given no matter what, you were testing it against a used shock.

I think you people who are defending Weitec are missing the point that even if the product turns out good, they are falsely advertising their product, misleading their customers as to what they are selling, and in turn scamming us.

  6. Time to clear some stuff up. When I was installing my Weitec's, I also noticed that the shocks/struts were made by Sachs. This made me curious, so I checked the Sachs part number on the struts/shocks that were already on the car and the Weitec/Sachs ones that were still in the box. Guess what. They're not the same.

thats odd because I am pretty sure mine were the same part number as teh ones that FCP sells

  7. My Weitec kit that I got also has both the Sachs and Weitec stickers on the suspension. I got sick of waiting and just installed them on my car. My kit was airshipped directly to me from Berlin.

Please let me know what you find out.

  8. I would thing that's rear shock mounts more than a bar will fix - i had that problem, and now that it's fixed it's awesome.

I presume this will stiffen up the back end which, on these cars is MUCH NEEDED!

Everything back there has been replaced though. I think its the natural tendencies of all the wagons.
