  1. Well, like I said I do have a loose '98 V70 stock manifold here ... it would just be more effective to picture them side-by-side. Whatever works though!
  2. Actually I have my old 850 heatshields back on my manifold and 18T and they fit perfectly! The only difference with the heatshields is that the stock manifold has three threaded bolt holes that line up correctly with the stock manifold shield, whereas the S60R manifold only has two. However, those two are plenty to hold it on securely. Another thing that tells me there's no difference in the manifold positioning is the the turbo shield fits on perfectly too. I wouldn't think that it would fit otherwise.
  3. Good deal Miles! You have a loose stock manifold as well?
  4. Pras - it's not a matter of ME taking your word for it. Like I said, I agree but I need it for Frank. I have the stock manifold off my V70, but I really don't want to take the turbo and S60R manifold off my 850 just for this.
  5. You still have them? Care to hold a measuring tape up and snap pics? :)
  6. I know that's what everyone says, and I'm inclined to believe it since I've actually held one in my hands ... but I need proof for EST. Anyone?
  7. In light of the way my EST downpipe rubs on my swaybar, I really need to answer this question ... does the S60R exhaust manifold change the the position of the turbo? In other words, is the turbo flange held out farther to the firewall or drawn in closer to the block, compared to the stock 850 manifold? Does anyone have the two manifolds that they can put side-by-side and take measurements? From what I remember it's exactly the same, but it's be so long and I didn't take measurements.
  8. I know ... and you hair hasn't changed much either.
  9. Javadoc ... I just call him "Gut" for short ... <runs faster>
  10. This is a very common misconception of the Bible, ironically, even among some of those who believe in God. Yes, the Bible was written by men, but the Holy Spirit of God instructed them what to write. The uniqueness of the Bible is that it was written by man so that man could understand it, so that what we have today is a book that relates to man's mind, but reveals the mind and will of God. "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness." 2 Timothy 3:16 "Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had it's origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." 2 Peter 1:20-21 Of course, if you don't believe in God then it's a moot point. But if you do, then there is no middle ground. You cannot believe that some of the Bible came from God while other parts of it are just men's interpretations, therefore leaving it up for debate. Think about this: why would God, who created man in his own image, who sent his one and only Son to die for our sins, risk having his word distorted by simple man, or just leave it to chance that maybe we would wind up with an authentic version of his word? Since I am on the subject of the word of God, I have to say that I agree with you on one point ... being narrow-minded (as you call it). I honestly don't care what term people use: closed-minded, intolerant, or politically incorrect ... that fact is that the word of God is truth, not half-truth, 1/4 truth, partial truth, good words, nice maxims to live by ... TRUTH! In matters of truth I am not ashamed to admit that I am, what I prefer to call, "single-minded". The people that I love the most, my children and my family, deserve to hear this truth ... in fact, I am commanded to tell them (and anyone else who will listen). I will not shove it down their throats and I will not punish them if they choose not to heed the truth, but my love for them and my desire to see them again one day when our lives on Earth are over compels me to try to lead them to God. By the way, I am very open-minded to any matter that does not relate to the truth or goes against the word of God ... like whether we should use 2.5" or 3" exhaust systems on our cars! ;)
  11. While the bible may have been compiled and versed many years later into the book we have today, most all of the gospels and epistles were written by Christ's apostles and disciples within 30 years of his crucifixtion, some within 10 years. These letters and testimonies, which eventually became the core of the new testament, were eyewitness accounts of the life, death, and resurrection of Christ, given within the the same generation. My point is there were many non-believer's and those who hated Christianity at that time (not 300 years later) who wanted nothing better than to be able to refute the resurrection but were not able to do it.
  12. Wow ... the things I could do with a tongue like that ;)
  13. Why should anyone apologize? Plenty of opinions are expressed on this forum ... whether you agree with them or not. When it comes to religion though, many people don't want to "tolerate" our opinions, even in this age of "political correctness" ... quite the double standard I must say.
  14. Touche! On that note, the wife is telling me to get off the darn computer :lunchbox:
  15. Yeah ... some A LOT more than others!
  16. Wow, I'm still a relative n00b (coming up on one year) but it's amazing to see that the forum has almost doubled in size since I joined
