Yes, he certainly can, but I would venture to say that if guns for civilians were banned, he'd try to kill you with a knife, and you might have time to beat his ass with a bat. If he came with a gun, you might not be so lucky. And I know you're not telling me that it's just as easy to steal a gun from a cop car as it is to get it from your closet? If that is the case, we deal with it by other cops chasing the idiot who stole the gun and shooting him in the face. I don't see any reason to steal a gun from a cop car other than to harm someone. If that's the case, shooting that person in the face (by military/law enforcement) isn't really that big of a deal.

I'm not saying that you would be the threat. I'm saying that fishing can sometimes find a threat, when you're not really looking for one. But then again, who knows, maybe you're in sleeper mode right now, but you'll snap one day and kill 50 people. You certainly have the option to do so with the many guns you own. The people who don't have guns, or don't have access to them don't have the option to kill 50 people. That's the issue here, I believe.

You'll appreciate fishing when the police walk in on an actual threat....let's say terrorist plot or planned bombing/shooting by some idiot. yes, it is inconvenient for you, but even if it's effective 5% of the time to go fishing, it's still effective, and it still saves lives, despite the minor inconvenience it may have caused you. Hell, I get triple checked at American airports sometimes because of the way I look. I could give a shit as long as the dude who looks like me, standing in line behind me is also triple checked, because he may very well be the douchebag with a shoe bomb. These are minor inconveniences to me, for the safety of everyone. I accept it, and I think it's a great inconvenience to go through as long as the real threats are caught in the process.

this is a stupid poll, because anyone who claims that repassing it makes sense should be in a mental health institution, right where Lanza and others should have been. we have these things called amendments to the constitution. if you're arguing that it's your 2nd amendment right to bear arms, I argue that it's the right for people to vote to amend that stupid amendment.
