  1. Ha ha, I bet you were reaching for the vaseline just talking on the phone with them! Victor is the man to go to, haven't read a bad thing about his work.
  2. Loose the left headlight and put your fresh air intake in there instead. Definitely needs some different rims, too. Turbo twisties are nice, but you can do better. I won't dog it because it's not my car.
  3. Let alone convince them your diagnosis is correct. I've tried that: it's like teaching calculus to a . They don't listen, don't care and just smile a lot at you.
  4. That's where it leaks. I actually have a military-grade epoxy, and was waiting to see if someone got the "glue" fix to work. Now that I know, I'm doing it this weekend. Thanks for taking the point on that one, James!
  5. Whew! Smells like gasoline in here: everyone and their grandma has a leaking something! Pull back the carpeting in your trunk. In the righthand rear corner of the trunk (near passenger side rear seat back) is an access panel with three or four metric nuts in it. Remove them and the metal plate they hold down. Take a deep breath of fresh air and get your head near there. If it reeks of gasoline (tank full or empty, doesn't matter) your leak is at the seals for the wires on the fuel pump. Unfortunately, the only fix is replacing the entire pump (you can't just replace the insert), at about $270. Otherwise, top off your tank and peek under the fender at the fuel neck. You'll see gas seepage there if it's leaking at the neck. 99% of the time it's the fuel pump seal though. Volvo used stuff to seal it that gets old and rots after a while.
  6. I don't usually agree with you, but I'll +1 that! You know Chuck Norris once at 3 74oz steaks in an hour? He spent the first 45 mins having sex with his waitress, though.
  7. I'm not blaming anyone. I think you're right, he will get screwed by the law. Woman walking alone in the dark vs trucker... Poll that to America and I'll tell you right now where 80% will vote. It doesn't matter that it was dark and probably not his fault, most jurys will vote on the emotional side anway.
  8. "I panicked!" doesn't hold up in court. Neither does "she was too stupid." He may not get murder but possibly manslaughter and definitely leaving the scene of an accident. If he can prove he didn't know he hit her I'll back him up. I do agree that was pretty dumb of her to be THAT close to the highway. If it's dark, and you're not wearing anything reflective, you're just asking to get hit if you're anywhere NEAR the shoulder.
  9. It looks like he bought HOVA headlights, and then found some cheap-ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD corner markers on eBay...
  10. **heavenly music** "Haaaa-llelujiah! Hallelujiah!" I even went so far as to dremel away the plastic (where the hole is to mount that useless piece) to make more clearance in front of the fresh air hose. Probably doesn't make too much difference, but meh, looks nicer.
  11. Google "American Hell in Iraq." I won't post the link again. It was shot by "the other side," and it was definitely graphic. I know Jason put up the one of the Apache helicopter taking out a truck with it's 20mm cannon, but this one is worse. There's no blatant desecration of remains of anyone in your vid.
  12. So I had posted a link to a grotesque video, but this is a better way to express what I was feeling. We all get to hang out here, and shoot the stuff about cars, life, whatever. We do this free from fear, and we take it for granted far too often. I would simply like to take the opportunity to thank all those who are serving, and have served so that I can go to sleep tonight knowing I'll be alive and free in the morning. These young men and women sacrifice so much, and you can certainly see how much they sacrifice with five minutes spent on any media website. So thank you to anyone and everyone sitting somewhere they'd rather not be, for we shall never forget that freedom is not free.
  13. I always stick with the whole "Don't monkeyin do anything illegal, dumbass." "Suspicious male, black, 20 years old. We're going to ask him some questions."
  14. Are we talking about the nice deep lub outside, and the drone inside? I deal with it knowing that's what other people hear, and not what I hear inside. Great pics! That is one hot 850; I'm digging the massive FMIC setup!
  15. 0.0964 sec -- 12 queries GZIP Enabled Woo-woo! Guess I should cut back on the simultaneous pr0n downloading...
  16. Change the Sig! : 1995 850 turbo: K&N drop-in filter Autometer Phantom 30 psi boost gauge (IPD pod) SAMCO turbo hoses Speedtuning 17 psi ECU chip Hova svart jewels ready to be installed Audio: JVC head unit, Sony 1200W amp and 10" subs, rockford-fosgate/monster cables
  17. Silverstar's in the high beam sockets are a waste of money: just buy the regular Sylvania or Phillips or whatever. You won't use them often enough to appreciate the extra $$$ spent. The cheaper bulbs project far enough, anyways; they just don't look as "white." As for your wiring, I can't remember. Plug it in before you bolt it on and test. I know Carson knows... you can wait for him to find this post! Make sure the regular bulb goes in the socket with the cup shield... I made that mistake.
  18. Searching, it's such a wonderful thing! EST has one of the best pre-made kits for the P1 chassis, or you could go custom.
  19. Aye, you could put a link to your "garage" in your sig... I'm listing chrome valve stem caps as a mod!
  20. If it were that price for a full front-mount setup, with stainless pipes and couplers, you would definitely have interest. Just look through the RIP kit threads... There you have your answer to your original question.
  21. I have silverstars in my regular headlights, and the generic sylvania H1's in the high beam socket. I do mostly city driving, so I'll use the brights very rarely -> cheap bulbs okay here. As for the Silver Stars, they look much whiter than the cheaper generic bulbs, but they're pretty expensive for a light bulb (~$20/side). I will not buy them again.
  22. You did a fantastic job installing that! You might want to hit the inside with a little red paint or similar to stop the rust. Looks great!
  23. But you've painted the trim to match the body, with black jewel headlights and darkass tint. The untrained eye doesn't even know it's a Volvo, which is probably what you're going for. I've said it once, other people have said it, and I'll say it again. Volvo and chrome don't match. It can be done, but very carefully.
