After accessing WA State's AGO website, they recommended starting with them. If needed, they will help me file in CA. or wherever is best.

I'm sure it'll take a few days to review my claim.

I'd be proactive and do both. If you wait for feedback from your state, it could be awhile before you get any assistance from them. Just imagine how many internet fraud claims they probably get each day alone! Do you really think they are going to go after him for a $700 claim that initiated in another state? They need to see a pattern of same/similar claims in order to go after him for fraud.

Even if California sits on it initially - after receiving a flood of claims across several states against the same person, it will more likely get their attention at some point

You and everyone need to file a claim(s) in California, where source of the fraud occurred. California getting multiple claims about the same person will get more visibility and action than everyone filing in their respective states. Your state could review it as an individual claim of a small amount and tell you to resolve it civil court (i.e. small claims).

As a prosecutor of financial crimes, my money's on he didn't start out intending to screw anyone. I do know Sean exists on a shoestring budget. Taking all those deposits . . . . My bet is he started to juggle and things got out of hand. That doesn't necessarily make you a thief--unless you keep accepting money, which it's hard to say whether that happened.

Even though there may be no theft crime, the ethical and moral obligation to stand up and communicate to his creditors, and the legal obligation to repay them (even if it's by small payments over time), stands.

While not be considered a theft crime in the legal definition, it is surely interstate fraud using the internet. Unless you are saying there is nothing legally criminal he has done and it is a civil issue. I find it hard to believe there is nothing criminal here, regardless of his initial intentions.

Thats in Cameron Park!!!! thats 5 minutes from me! I am not so sure he uses them. He lived in the L.A. area and 'visited' the shop. Cameron Park would be quite a drive.

He lives in Orange County, so he wasn't using a shop in Northern California. There are several different turbo shops in the LA / Orange County area. For that matter, no knows if he was going directly to the rebuilder or through a local speed shop.

I am still amazed no one actually insisted he inform who his rebuilder was before handing over any money or agreeing to a rebuild. At the end of the day, he is not a business and just playing middle-man - also those with rebuilds have no contact if there any problems with the turbo.

Employers pay into that fund, per employee. They make money off the employee, then pay a fee to unemployment. I'm sure income tax goes into it some how also.

To get unemployment insurance which is what it is, you have had to have actually had a steady job, for a minimum term. If you never worked you never get paid insurance benefit, which it is. Not a general fund lay out for nontaxpaying, nonworkers. By the way :

I understand how the unemployment benefits work. They are partially funded by employers, as well as through income taxes. I am not sure how unemployment benefits work state-to-state, however in California it's based on if you were working going back a specific quarter depending on when you filed. There are many people who will work for short periods of time, then stop working and collect, and then cycle back through it.

Regardless, the point in my comment was towards the irony in what Justin said. There is nothing wrong with using employment benefits as a transition between jobs in order to survive, or if something is preventing you from being gainfully employed. It is another to sponge those benefits until they have ran out and take extensions, while making money under the table.....when one has the ability to find work and pay taxes like most of us do. In relation to his comment, it is no different - others are having to pay for something for someone else but he is (was) not willing to work for it, but then is also profiting from it.

It comes down the simple fact of why should I have to pay for something for someone else if they are not willing to work for it .

Same here. Just updated to IE 8 and no problems. What really sucks is I can't update my work PC, which is XP and IE 7, because IE 8 is not a tested browser. I am going to have to live with the format problems for that PC when on VS.

With IE 8 I am still getting the Action failed quota error when I try voting on a post.

I haven't upgraded yet on my home pc, and I can't on my work laptop. Never had the issues before the last site updates and it only happens on VS.

Yep, just got it again 5 minutes ago when I came back to the site. Still getting the white space in every thread and the page also hung again as I was trying to open this thread.

I cleared the cookies and temporary internet files several times now (no proxy on my home network) and the issues are still happening. I am glad to try anything else you might suggest, but it seems like server side issues.

Again have you deleted all your temp files and cookies?

Other option is you are using a proxy thats stripping off signatures so you are not seeing content thats actually there

I am having the same problem. I have already cleared the temp files and cookies several times and I still get posts that pages of white space before getting to the next post, or the page will hang while loading. Also, anytime I try to leave positive or negative votes I get message saying I've reached my quota. This wasn't a problem prior to the last updates.

Pharmaceuticals is big business and pure capitalism in its essence, the bottom line being the dollar. Costs for FDA approval (a whole corrupt process in its own right) has very little, if any, effect on the cost of pharmacueticals. Pharmaceutical companies charge what they do because: they create demand typically holding their own patents preventing their drugs being produced by anyone else, and simply, they can charge whatever they want and are not regulated by any healthcare standards.

Healthcare is very much a capitalist industry. While many medical groups do focus on patient care, the executives in said companies are very much about the money. The increasing problem being many healthcare companies are ran by their business model and less about patient care, even within the non-profit companies.

Healthcare insurance...well I don't see how anyone doesn't realize the healthcare insurance industry is capitalism.....it always has been.

I don't have much of an opinion on pharmaceutical companies but part of the reason there cost is so high is FDA approval isn't cheap. Secondly, Healthcare and insurance both are in the shit because of the government not because of capitalism.

You obviously have no first-hand experience or knowledge in the healthcare industry, otherwise you would know that your statements are far from truthful and humorous.

Aston Martin's demand isn't high enough to be valuable to any company, but when they do sell a car they make out like bandits..Also where would you get the damn thing serviced? On top of that any company that would buy them would have to have their employees trained in the maintaince and service of the vehicles(costing them more money) plus have an inventory of parts and special machines (again MORE money)..

You get them serviced at the dealer, there are plenty of them available in the US.

Any company buying them is going to retain all the assests and rights to Aston Martion at the corporate level. At the service/dealership level, most dealerships are franchised owned and would just be reporting to a different corporate owner. The impact would be minimal at the dealership level.

You can get front and rear rotors, cross-drilled and slotted for $114 on ebay from Raceconcepts. On top of paying more later with your resolution, you are also doubling your labor. I understand you are strapped for cash, but it is a very minimal difference. Why not do it right and the way you want it the first time then?

Correct, I should have better understood what I had before posting, right I am called on for it. If these are the later version (which it sure looks like to me based on web site and vauge recollection of discussions when I purchased them) clearly $100 is a giveaway.

Slater had released 3 versions of the endlinks prior to the Xtreme version. So, it is completely possible when you purchased them he was releasing the "latest" version. But, as I said before, based on when you bought them and the price, you do not have the latest Xtreme version.

I give you props for acknowledging your approach to this was bad. I wish you luck with your sale.

Just by the price you paid and how long ago you bought them, there is absolutely no doubt that you have an older version and not the latest Xtreme version. I have had both versions, you can see the difference. You advertised your price $100, which is fair. Now you just sound like a shady seller that is trying get greedy. You know you didn't pay the $180 for the latest version, so you know you have an older version. Besides, with the QBM endlink group buy right now, your lucky to just get $100.

by the way- your reply indicating you were going to adjust your price after already advertising a price has probably pushed off most of those that were interested in these. It's bad business, you should have done your due diligence and knew exactly what you wanted for them prior to advertising them.

Yep, you have the older generation, they are good end links. I can tell you first hand there is big difference between the older version and the Xtreme version. So, $100 is a good price, I wouldn't adjust it.

I seem to have made a mistake, thought these are Generation 1 as I bought them while ago, but comparing to web site photo these look exactly the same, so guess ends are not infact bigger. I'm re-IMing person now who has not yet sent money. Being this is actually same as current QB offered item, and considering comments, adjusting price accordingly.... Sorry for goof, I should pay better attention ;-)

How long ago did you buy them? Post some pics of the links, it won't too hard for those of us that have had both the older version and the new xtremes to tell.

Also, the Xtreme version have not been out long. Up til the recent GB, Slater hasn't retailed the Xtreme version for less than $180. If you paid less or in the range of $140 new, then you have the older version.
