  1. You know what the dead giveaway is, that you don't? Because there is absolutely no reason "anyone" unless running around scared of terrorists would be supporting this administration after everything if you really knew all the facts.

Even most republicans who used to support him have abandonded support and most of his administration have jumped like rats from a sinking ship.

Watch "Iraq For Sale", find out about the corporate free for all that Iraq really is and why our soldiers are continually disrespected by not getting the proper armor they need, bathing in and drinking contminated water that is contaminated and contains viruses which was supposed to be treated by Halliburton. The laundry service Halliburton provides that is so bad our soldiers don't even want them washing their clothes because they come out worse then they were. This is nothing either, the list goes on forever. If you really and truely did your research and had your facts straight you'd jump like a rat from a sinking ship as well.

actually you're wrong and "un-american" for attempting to abandon our military. Have we all forgotten 9/11 and what the terrorists did to our country? How many civilian lives were lost? I bet anyone in American wanted someone dead. Now pull out? Sounds hypocritical. And you talk about sub-par living conditions for the soldiers? Since i've had my dad and best friend describe conditions for me as they both are iraqi vets, the conditions are not so bad. Living quarters are a little crammed, but they certainly don't get washed with viruses. Just because the news reports it, does not make it true. As far as clothes getting washed, haliburtan does not do it. Actually, the iraqi people are hired to wash clothes, cut hair, etc. Only stipulation is no american can talk to them. Moral of the story: YOU get your facts straight before blabbing your mouth. If you hate america so much, go move to France or some middle east country.

  2. Just remember, be proud of who you are. Do we have a "White history month?" Hell no. DO blacks have a "black history month?" Hell yes. They also have BET, FUBU, and a slew of other black power bs. How come this is allowed? They are the ones starting the biggotry and "racism." I gurantee if we had a white entertainment television or FUWBU for us whites by us whites, we would all be hated and considered "racist." This is a total crock. If anything, black folk have more rights than we do, and thats a fact. Its only a matter of time until we are the minority and they are the ones really picking on whites. Lets face it, blacks dont dish out hate to mexicans or jews etc etc. Its always been black against white and white against black. I mean, I can't even go to the mall in Fairview Heights Illinois without feeling unfortable or have some black people flash gang signs etc at me or other white people. Let me remind you I have several black friends, and my dad's best man at his wedding was black.

  3. For starters, if we switch the current situation around and have 6 white kids have this happen to, nothing would be talked about. According to the media, if any crime whatsoever happens to a black person, its a "Hate Crime." If this happens to a white, its simply a "crime." Tell me, isn't any act that does damage to another individual based off some kind of hate? In sense this makes anything hateful or cruel, a "Hate Crime."

Any of you willing to dispute this, I tell you to go spend the night in East St. Louis and see if you can survive. Hell, maybe you will experience the true meaning of "hate crime."

People always try to separate race...why? Let the whole race color barrier drop. I don't think anything of it, and have a few black friends.

I make no excuse for what these white kids did. They should be punished if the made some kind of hint towards a noose. That is ignorant and idiotic of them.

  4. That's why GM owners are so upset that after their wonderful 100k miles expires, there tranny and other things go right along with it. Read some of the reviews online about Saab and how not so wonderful they are. Face it, they are built like they used to be. Gm has eletrical problems, especially with oldmobile. Hell, I had a 98 blazer back in my teenage years and after my tranny went at 50k, everything else did along with horrible rattles from the plastic inside. If you like they so much, go try your luck with them. At this point i'd rather have a ford.

  5. Don't remind me, at least my opel vectra has the REAL saab engine. The Ecotec thing isn't so bad as it might seem though, saab has never had an in-house engine design. The ld two-stroke wasa DKW engine, the V4 was a ford engine, the engine in my 2000 9-5 aero is basically the same engine that was in the ~1970 triumph dolemite with a new head and balance shafts, and the ecotecs in the 9-3's are heavily modified compared to the base ecotec in your average cobalt. The same goes for the V6's.

I used to hate alot of GM's decisions with saab, especially the 9-2x and the 9-7x, but now that GM has admitted that those models were half-assed stopgaps and is replacing them with the 9-4x and the 9-1 I have a bit more respect for them. I see it this way, whereas under ford, volvo has killed the R-line, made the S40/V50 into a car that's inferior in every way to the jetta yet sells for $5k more while allowing the S80 to balloon into an overpriced swedish DTS wannabe, under GM saab's actually making a halfway reliable car, the 9-3 is a great performance deal for the money and we finally get AWD. Not just any AWD either, but a torque-shifting system that's supposed give audi's true quattro systems a run for their money. To top it off, they're making a 320hp version of the new AWD 9-3 aero that will sell for ~38k.

They might be moving 9-3 production to germany, but then again, all the S60R's and V70R's were made in belgium and nobody questions their swedish-ness

My first choice for a company to buy volvo would be volvo truck/penta/everything else, just because they don't have an existing sport/luxury line to slot volvo under and therefore would be the most likely to let the brand mature into something a bit more like mercedes or audi. My second choice would be renault, for the same reason that they need a true european luxury division, nissan is building some of the best engines in the world right now, and I would love to see what carlos ghosn could do with the brand considering his turnaround with infiniti.

My last choice would be BMW because they already have a premium line, they already are THE name in sporting luxury cars, and under their ownership I can only see volvo languishing behind as a line of stodgy, reliable safety-barges aimed at the people who would normally buy a lexus over a BMW. There will most likely be little to no platform or engine sharing between the brands, and the only good that could come of it might be nicer interior materials and build quality. If we're really lucky they'll spare volvo from the joys of shift-by-wire, idrive, and "active steering".

Well, you have in wrong in every way about saab. I just got another s60 because the 9-3 vector and aero models are junk. I talked to some saab owners on this board, chambs T5-R, looked up ratings online, and people's reviews, and they all said the same thing-Electrical problems, and poor quality material. A majority of folk had to keep bringing their car in because in the cold their car's electrical system would all of a sudden fail. I forgot to mention that the interior of the saab is cheap plastic, and rattles to say the least. Sure, the aero has tons of stuff stock that my s60 2.5T doesn't have, but at least my car is more reliable up to this point. My interior feels like higher quality material was used. So many negatives about their cars made me not choose it. Don't think saab is so superior over volvo, because it isn't. Any car company is going to have pros and cons to a car, thats just what happens. Volvo is a good family car designed for safety first, not for styling or power. My vote still goes with volvo.

  6. Irish players have cooth, and don't act like thugs on the field. Their coach is simply amazing.....They have a standup, great program, and they have gold in their helmets-what's not to love? SO many other teams seem to play dirty, cause fights, and act like punks..Should be off the field, not on it. Just some good clean football is all I ask for.

  7. I'm an Irish fan at heart, but always have a little room for the dogs. I used to live in Brunswick, GA, for a good chunk of my life....What part are you from? And I've always hated the Gators....Especially when Spurrier was coaching. He's a p r i c with ears. Just seems that every player on the gators is a gang banger, who has to make a huge deal over every play....soo with that said, go Irish......and a little for for the dawgs as well.

  8. i've never seen so many postive people in my life. I'm glad your all volvo drivers... and im going to say thanks for all the work the moderators/rest of the guys listed above have put into the website, it wouldnt be the same without you!

  9. Well, i don't believe we are simply in Iraq just for the oil.. We are there to make money sure, but we are there also to help a country get back on its on two feet, and strip it of the once terrible regime that ruled it. My father is currently serving up to 18 months there. Hes written me several emails, and though he can't say all too much, he gives me as much info as he can.. He describes a majority of the iraqi people as liking the american soldiers, for helping them rid there home of "cowards." I will now insert some direct lines from some of my dads emails.

"What have the news networks said about the Iraqi elections? Here in Iraq, the people were literally dancing in the streets just because they got to vote in free elections for the first time in history. The stuff I've seen on the internet makes it look like everything went wrong. Let me tell you, the vast majority of the Iraqi population loves us. They were living under the thumb of the evil Saddam Hussein...then they had to worry about terrorists. The media in the U.S. calls the terrorists "insurgents", but the Iraqis and the U.S. Army calls them terrorists. In fact, the Iraqi people call them cowards. The cowardly bastards do things like shoot women and children, mow down people at weddings, kill people who want to run for political office, set off bombs in public places, etc. Sound like freedom fighters? The media thinks so, but nobody here does.

Did the media show the U.S. soldiers guarding the polling places? How about soldiers giving candy to Iraqi kids and playing soccer with them? Everytime the soldiers have to go to town, the kids mob them. You'd think Santa Claus showed up at a grade school. The Iraqis have told us personally that they love us being there to help them get rid of the cowardly terrorists. A lady I work with was talking to an Iraqi man about voting. He had to walk several miles to vote, but considered it an honor. He asked the lady I work with if she voted in our presidential election last year. She said she couldn't because she got called away to come here to Iraq and couldn't receive a ballot in the mail in time. The Iraqi man got big tears in his eyes and thanked her for her sacrifice...then said he loved Americans for what they're giving up and what they're doing to help Iraq. That's just one guy, but virtually all of them feel that way. Don't listen to what the media says...because they just want you to believe their liberal crap."

" The chow hall has virtually the same food, prepared by Turks, every day. For the first week it was okay but it got old fast. I've lost eight pounds since getting here.

What really bothers me, though, is people back in the states who say we get too much and should cut the military budget. That blows my mind, but I'm not surprised because people who want to cut the military budget have never worn a uniform and just don't know."

"When I get home, I will kiss the ground and thank God every day for the wonderful place where I live. I will never take it for granted again"

I know that was more than just a few lines, but it gives you somewhat of an idea of what a soldier has to go through day to day in mosul. It's so easy for us here back in the states to pass judgement on President Bush, but what would you do if you were in HIS shoes? nuff said :o

  10. Kerry has already lied to you, i remember listening and watching them on the 2nd debate. He pointed at me through the t.v screen and said he was going to cut the defecit in half. Ha. But then 5 minutes later, he changed his mind. btw, i have no clue if Bush drives a volvo, but wouldn't it be great if he did? ;) Dumb liberal hoes.

    Bush >'s Kerry.

  11. Kerry is about a bad a liar as Al Gore.. Don't we all remember Gore telling america that he "Created the internet." Kerry has no solid backbone, and no one can ever get a straight answer out of the man. During the debates, the host would ask Kerry a ?. Kerry would reply with "Bush lost millions of job, and i I will cut the deficeit in half." He would answer with something not even asked. At least Bush is a man of his word, and most importantly, has kept us safe. If Kerry is elected president, i will truely fear for my life, and the lives of my loved ones. Also do you want a mandatory draft? Kerry does, Bush doesn't. Kerry also hates the military. His purple hearts are b.s. I'm sorry, but my vote goes with Bush.
