  1. lol, yea ok. ever heard of thermal expansion? even if you assume that it doesn't move and is perfectly rigid with no moving, it's still vibrating which is movement in itself.
  2. Annealing is a temporary process, yes the metal is softer which allows you to form it without cracking but as soon as you form it, the annealing loses its effectiveness. Although that copper alloy shouldn't age harden like aluminum, every vibration and movement will cause it to work harden. Using it for a template for steel is a better bet, imo.
  3. I would be really WORRIED about running copper in this application. Copper is really sensitive to vibrations and work hardens very easily. Since the engine is vibrating and the turbo manifold is expanding and contracting that thing is gonna move around over and over again, eventually it gets hard and brittle and then it cracks.
  4. Fixing the fuel pressure so it doesn't drop off under high demand is definitely the correct route to take versus trying to bandaid some other options to keep the motor from noticing its leaning out.
  5. the cables are different. I can make some for the m56 though.
  6. Nice! Glad the install went smoothly. You're the first of the 3.
  7. With only 200 lb/ft of torque at the front and rear you might be ok
  8. i normally dont like those headlights but with all the extra "stuff" and changes you have added to the front of your car they look much more at home.
  9. Have you made any Det Cans so you can listen for these detonation events? Those were super useful when I was tuning my wagon.
  10. Did you do any tuning on the dyno or were you just looking to get numbers?
  11. Is there any way to attach them so they just spray through the mesh so they would be hidden behind the vent?
  12. Ive done it before but it always takes some balls to take an abrasive cutting tool to your body work.
  13. if that gets hot enough to melt the plastic there wouldn't be any paint left on his hood.
  14. i'm excited to see the dyno plots. I might be driving through you neck of the woods the weekend of the 3rd, maybe i can swing by and check this thing out.
  15. the wheel hop was actually clutch slip, he fixed it. With a new flywheel.
  16. If you can't get wheel hop in 1st or 2nd gear, id say theres a 99% chance that what you were feeling was your clutch or that the clutch slip was inducing wheel hop.
  17. the clutch slip could of been inducing the wheel hop. Hopefully you killed 2 birds with 1 stone.
  18. Yep, that clutch didn't really stand a chance at working with that setup even if it were the best clutch in the world.
