  1. Made an announcement photo, and apparently none of our friends and family took me seriously
  2. Looking really good Kristian. I always love seeing the progress on this wagon
  3. I feel like I'm going the reverse of you, I had the interior all done, now I'm moving to a M conversion after going nearly all snabb for everything else
  4. I will keep that in mind, I sometimes get flown to Cheyenne WY for work (going there this summer) and ship my bike with me so I may keep the Hayes on the bike then and just get them serviced at the shop, I don't mind doing a lot of things but servicing hydraulic brakes I like to leave up to the shop.
  5. Been riding my road bike for a while and decided to give my mtb some love, new tread switched to SRAM XO components and went tubeless and also rebuilt the BB/Headset/Hubs with new grease and bearings. Rode it on the trail earlier in the month and it rode well. I think it might be time to get a new crank though. Thinking of swapping out my Hayes HFX-9's in favor of a set of Magura Marta SL's I have sitting around but I'm not sure if I want to since the haye's do their job for the most part....
  6. Saw this, though it belongs here..
  7. Haven't posted in a bit, hopefully not a repost, only went back like 3-4 pages to make sure :| Ferrari 458 Italia Liberty Walk Edition And here's a shot of the front:
  8. yes I'm trying to make up for the PS pics
  9. Greg is correct about the PS, though its a maclaren so I accepted it.
  10. Feels long enough since I posted, McLaren P1
  11. Compression Engineer for echostar, which means I end up watching a lot of tv during the holiday's :|
  12. Here's another addition to my wallpapers! I hope none of my posts are reposts 50th aniversary edition
  13. If you decide to continue riding and do mtb trails there's a few nice ones out here including browns ranch trailhead, trail 100, papago park, etc but you have to come to phx area instead of the boonies I have a few people that I ride with a few times out of the year that come up from tucson actually.
  14. well if your not in a hurry then something will come up in your area I've done a lot of the trails out in the boonies, and I'd def suggest a tubeless conversion, being out in the boonies it maybe cheaper to go with that alternative.
  15. The Olympics have made for a very very slow night at work, so here's a Ferrari P4, not so much of a replica since apparently everything down to the frame was hand made.
  16. Not to harp man, but I saw about 30-40 different bikes that would last longer then the wally world mongoose on cl just last week. And if you want to combat the goat heads on the pavement and grassy/dirt areas consider switching to tubeless and just keep a spare tire on you. The amount of flats I've gotten on my road bike I can count on one hand in 2 years, and the same goes for my mtb with it getting a majority of its flats from pinch flatting on some DH sections on trail 100. Since you already have the mongoose not much you can do now, but I would say stay away from any solid core tubes unless you fancy a rough ride. Once your ready or feel the need to turn to Craigslist, check east valley/phoenix instead of the west side and you should be able to find some nice bikes. Also if you are in Tempe, go to bike saviors, you can pick up a bike for $50 and build it up in their bike shop if you have the time. Get a good water bottle and cage, and stay hydrated, since your riding that heavy beast of a bike you may want to look into a camelpak as well. I ride during the summer and commute, tour, and trail ride the big trick is to start riding now and keep doing it so you can acclimate.
  17. No worries, and I'm in Arizona, its riding season all year round which is nice.
  18. well ok then, when I was doing searches I saw different prices, but real world if its $150 and not the $450 everyone keeps listing them at then I'll keep what I have for now and look at a newer bike then. Just liked the feel of the bike but it seemed like the parts were rare since I was coming across a lot of posts where people were looking for them which kinda made me feel bad that I was using them like they were suntour components. Granted I still keep up on my regular maintenance on them, I just thought if they were rare it might be treated better in the hands of someone who would appreciate them more then just having something that gets the job done.
  19. So two questions, 1.anyone have a suggestion for a good road crankset? Currently running Vintage Campagnolo Gran Nuovo crankset which has 52/42 chainrings and want something that is not so rare that will make me feel bad if it ever got damaged. Been looking at some fo the shimano stuff but my eyes are starting to glaze over.... would like to keep the price under $200 since I'll prob post the Campagnolo's on a vintage site or ebay and hope to get about that much back on them at least. 2. Suggestions on seatposts? I am using a Campagnolo Nuovo record 26.8 seatpost and again same as above I'd like something a bit newer for my bike.
