How many examples do you need before you learn how really evil the religion of liberalism really is? For the matter of keeping things on a level you might understand Mike, tell me how liberalism protected the rights of the Duke lacrosse players? How did liberalism protect the lives and property of the citizens of New Orleans? How has Liberalism improved the economic conditions in South America or on the continent of Africa? No, but I'll tell you what I'm about. To me it would be intellectually lazy to go through life accepting all popular opinion as fact. It is much harder to look at popular opinion and learn if the opinion has been adulterated to the point that it is no longer valid. When people make a choice to take what I perceive as the easy route and accept others opinion as there own it becomes a mindset of groupthink. Even as I present inarguable facts that blatantly contradict their popular held opinion, to them my facts become unclear or untrustworthy. Do to this mental stubborness and instability of core values they become easily offended. I'll quote Salman Rushdie who said, "The idea that any kind of free society can be constructed in which people will never be offended or insulted is absurd. So too is the notion that people should have the right to call on the law to defend them against being offended or insulted. A fundamental decision needs to be made: do we want to live in a free society or not? Democracy is not a tea party where people sit around making polite conversation. Your boy Ron Paul has done a good job in congress in voting no for government expansion but as much as his supporters have attempted to use blog posting to boost recognition he still polls only 4%. I don't beleve that network television, cable news and news print media's first goal is to make money over everything else evidently based on many of their recent declines in viewers or subscribers but to spread their liberal bias message first. Magazines and radio are an entirely different media group that are faithful to a select targeted audience with greater freedom over the content by their editors and personalities to go in any direction they choose left or right and their audience knows exactly what they are getting. I don't see your point in your analogy.

I wouldn't give the CNN website the same media weighting as their cable television network. On the CNN cable news network, you will NEVER see a positive story about the US military from their heavies Lou Dobbs, Anderson Cooper, Jack Cafferty or Paula Zahn. That video has about as good of a chance of getting aired on that network in prime time as the NY Times doing a scathing report on George Soros.
