nice!
Do stores exist? Or only auctions for now?
I saw a reference to it in the "About me" page, but I didn't see a specific store button or link.

Bumped you up to 500
Thanks man! I really appreciate it. There were days where I was archiving PMs every day I had so many.
-
You rock Chuck. Thanks!
Any chance of upping the PM limit? Maybe to 150 or even 200 messages?

No, and after speaking with the distributor more, I have discovered that they charge $10 to "drop ship" each of these items directly to the final buyer from their warehouses. That $10 is just about all the profit margin I have built into each set of spacers, so this group buy might not even go through after all. I'm still talking to them about it to see if an agreement can be met, but I'm not holding my breath.
Personally, I don't think $10 more is going to break the bank. So before you go dropping the whole GB you may just want to find out who is willing to pay $10 more...

I'm in cali and my car is in B-more. I don't go back to see my car until December 21st.
Ah, I see.
Hope the withdrawal symptoms aren't too bad ;0)
-
And...........ordered!
Can't wait to see them in December
December?
BTW everyone - all orders that have been paid so far have been shipped.
-
Is there a guide somewhere on where to set them? Like I've got stock sways but KWs dropped 2 inches. About what length would I want to set them?
Detailed installation instructions are included with information on how to set them.
-
Meh doesn't really matter. What do you mean beautify though? I could always go get them powdered.
powdercoat will chip off after one or 2 times of use. Plating will last much much longer.

Got my e-mail last night. Pretty quick turn around time on the e-mail by you guys! Payment should be sent soon.
Is it best to do a swaybar upgrade while installing these?
Beefier swaybars are always a good upgrade, but not required for our endlinks. The problem our links solve is the crappy stock design, regardless what sway bars you are running. The QBM links allow whatever sway bar you have to work as designed (in addition to being adjustable, outlasting stock links by about 500 years, etc etc). This is why even people with stock sway bars notice a huge difference with performance endlinks like ours.

GB email has been sent. Check your inboxes.
If you didn't get it you either didn't email us or the GB email got blocked as spam.
BTW Aaron Behr wins the blue ribbon for fastest payment. He literally paid about 30 seconds after I sent the email.

I will be emailing the GB details in a few minutes to everyone on the list.
If you EMAILED us, you are on the list. If not, you need to EMAIL at the link in my sig to be on the list.
Thanks!

Hey, just to let everyone know, I am going to look into getting my bolts stripped and nickel or chrome plated. If anyone else would be interested you could have Joseph ship your bolts to me and you pay me for the plating + shipping back to you.
I have no clue what it could cost, but it would be relatively cheap and to do 200 pieces would only benefit everyone vs me doing my 20. I will charge you whatever it costs me. Will probably be in the neighborhood of $0.40-$0.75 each. Please do NOT post or PM me and ask what it would cost. I have no clue at this point and if you ask I will just cut and paste this paragraph.
Keep in mind that plating is only as good as the metal's finish itself. So if you want mirror finish polished triple chrome bling look, and the bolts end up coming from H&R with a standard ugly jerk rough industrial finish, the plating will just be a shiny standard ugly jerk rough industrial finish. The only way around that is to sand and mirror polish each bolt head face before being plated. That is no problem, but it will be extra time and $ for the labor.
Nickel plated will have the most corrosion resistance. I can also do black hard chrome though, which is sweet. It's NOT the "black chrome" like you see on some optional badges on cars or cabinet hardware. That is decorative only and is not really chrome. It's zinc plating with black dye in it and is plated on a polished part to give it a smoke mirror chrome plated look. It provides no corrosion protection at all. Black hard chrome is NOT that. Black hard chrome is designed as a corrosion plating and looks like semi gloss black paint and is hard as a rock - you will not see any shiny metal underneath. It is NOT cheapass black oxide either. If you want a stealth look, black chrome is killer.
Also, there is a $100 minimum with my plater, so if 4 people want nickel and 1 person wants black hard chrome , the person that wants black hard chrome is SOL unless he either wants to foot the $100 minimum or settle for nickel like everyone else.

Put me down for 5mm front and 15mm rear and appropriate bolts for both.
-
Don't panic folks - If you followed the directions and emailed, you are on the contact list. As soon as everything is finalized you will be the first ones to be notified with all of the juicy details!
-
I want in on this
Sweet. If you haven't already done so follow the info in the first post and you will be added to the list.
We have enough for the GB. I am working on the final pricing now. The pricing and payment info will be emailed to everyone which is why it's important that if you're interested that you email to get on the list.

Any chance you offer GB on your dozen of old version QBM endlink for the mk1 S40?
If so, let me know the price and I can generate interest for you or you more than welcome to start a thread over in our forum. Thanks
I am actually working on XTreme links for the old AND new 40s, V50, etc
But they won't be ready until winter sometime, so unfortunately the answer to your question is no as far as the GB.
-
I just put on Slater's endlinks. Brilliant. They are easy to install and just looking at them you can tell they are way beefier than the stock ones. If you plan on driving your car aggressviely at all, pick up a set of these (plus some IPD sways), well worth the money IMO.
Thanks man. So would you trade them for a set of $15 junkers haha?
-
Quick?
For those of us who are interested, about how long--approximately--until this GB officially starts, and how long --approximately--until we have the parts in hand?

Darn... I was going to wait till you released a complete handlign kit or sumthing of the sort with Control Arms / Endlinks / and a few other mystery parts.
My Current set of OBM v2 seem to either be moving / corroding, so i wanted to replace them eventually
Well the aa arm bushings are still a few months out, and even longer for 4 bolt. So you would have been waiting for a while.
-
I remember Jeremy and you tossing the idea of a C70 Rear brace, anything actually gonna happen with that?
Yeah, but not in the next 3 weeks. I have some other unfinished products in the works that I am finalizing, and at this point I can't start any new ones projects until things pan out with my health. So if I did develop a C70 brace it wouldn't be until next year sometime.

^^^ Nice endlink comparison courtesy of SteveS, who broke his VMS link at Thunderhill.
Glad to see you're back Slater and hope you're doing well.
I'm very satisfied with my QBM endlinks... just wish you announced the group buy before I ordered my two sets.
Well, it will still be a while before the GB materializes and people have product in hand. But yeah I have been planning on doing it for a while and I am going to be real sick real quick here soon (when I start chemo again) so I figured I needed to get a GB out of the way before the stuff hits the fan if you know what I mean.
You got a good deal with the std VS discount. The GB will be a better price but you certainly won't be able to retire on the savings.
-
Fortunately not...I forget who did that, but it was definately a story. Mine was just some fun around town
Anyone have that comparison pic handy (where the stock vs VMS vs QBM are all side by side)?
-
Now if we could get some A-arms going with the bushings...I need that stuff sooo bad. Already have stock replacements but I want better.
Either way, BUMP for a great product. I've had these on my car for ~6 months and they work beautifully. This is after I bent the VMS ones too, so I have something other than stock to compare them to
We could if the new aarm bushings were ready. But that is still a few months out. So the answer is no on the aarms.
So was that you that sheared the VMS links @ Thunderhill?
-
can you do black diamonds?
Charcoal!
haha, seriously though I was a master bench jeweler for many years and I still have connections if you really want a diamond encrusted version. I will mount them up personally; channel set, pave, etc. Whatever you want. Buy a set of diamond endlinks for your sweetheart for xmas ;0)
-
4 teh same price?
Sure, as long as you don't mind it turning your neck/finger green haha
email sent! how long till the GB gets wrapped up? My stockers are making noise...
Not sure as it's not even official right now. Figure 2 weeks from when the GB officially starts.
But if you can't wait you can order them right now for the normal VS 10% member discount, which is a pretty darn good price.

Quick ? on the Auction section. Are the old auctions saved? If so it would be nice to be able to search them. I search old ebay auctions a lot to get a feel what something generally sells for, or sold for. Also, it allows people to contact the high bidder and see if they would be willing to resell it to you.
Just a thought.
