I would start by replacing that. Did you also check the VVT hub - those rattle like crazy when oil pressure is low...

If I ever put my H&R lowering springs on my saffron, I'll be getting them done black lol. Very cool that the whole rear suspension is getting recoated. Planning on doing the front end next?

Run some 20w50 in it after you pull the pan. Still don't understand how you run into all of these oil pressure issues...

Not really, but I'm sure you can find a used set of springs for around $100 bucks.

Just FYI, the front springs are the same springs as FWD 850's/X70's.
