Thank you all for being patient during all of the updates. In the next week or so I should have everything back in working order. Fixing some issues with the Garage and the images now. Sorry about the outage earlier. I was hoping to get lucky and not have to take site down, but updated to php needed an apache up-date and restart. Over the next few days I will be applying all of the updates I have been working on so expect a little site weirdness. If you have any bugs that persist after clearing cache of Volvospeed temp files, feel free to submit a bug report under the support tab at the top. Some of these updates are moving towards upgrades I have planned for this server. I hope to have the site running mirrored on new box within a week or so. New box will be dual e5-1650s for those who care. That should help with server side a good bit, but main bottle neck is still i/o. I saw some black Friday sales pop up on drives and ram. If we can raise a little bit of money we can upgrade the SAS to RAID 10 which should help A LOT, donation link in sidebar. So if we hit our goal that is the plan. If we do not get close I will just throw another 16gb in the machine and increase cache threads. Either way, expect the site to be a lot faster in the next few weeks, and hopefully I have gotten to most of the bugs.

Still working on some of the updates and bugs, but member feedback and garage should be working again now. I have a few more issues to run down with files and bugs, but getting there. If you use the garage, let me know if you have any issues.

Just a quick update on for sale. Tagging an ebay item with vs304050 in the title will still import the item to Volvospeed within a few hours. In addition I have added a few items I am seeing searched for a lot. For example, the cheapest K&N filter for the Volvo 850 will be imported hourly as well as the cheapest current price on D2 coilovers. Just a small update to allow tags to be used in blogs as well as clean up the look. For those with major build projects this is now probably the cleanest option. Just create an album in the gallery then link the gallery to your blog. This will auto import all your images including future ones and allow you to build a blog you can moderate yourself.

I love google. All seriousness I know they do tons of stupid moves. Most recently the delayed launch of google+ for business comes to mind. Before that there was the whole no google+ access for apps users. All of that aside, google is an amazing company. Look how much information they sort on a daily basis. I tell people all the time, "unless google's servers are all down I do not want to hear a stupid comment from you". Anyone who seriously thinks google sucks must have no idea how much is going on behind the scene. They bring you a full online office suite with apps, search engines, video hosting with youtube, maps, gps, anything you can think of and 99% of the time free to the end used. For those reasons I laugh when people say google+ does not stand a chance against facebook. Google can leverage SEO against their google+ pages, which FB cannot. Add to that they own youtube, and are now sorting your search results based on who you are friends with. Tie it all together with google apps and maps and there is really no reason to leave. What I like more is that unlike facebook google+ is encouraging sites to develop their own content not content on facebook. I really think from the business standpoint facebook set the internet back years. If you have any doubt just look at it from a visual stand point. Announcing the launch of XC Forums. While there is still a lot of work to be done, we are proud to announce the launch of XC Forums to anchor the Volvospeed Connect network with a quality crossover and suv site. Added a wiki for volvospeed

Well I finishd all the Volvo stereo stuff I can do at this time so I decided to do a write up on fiberglass boxes. I will work on it and have it posted in a week or two. This box fits in the goofy side panel of an Explorer. I thought I could finish it in one day but I guessed wrong. So the rest of the pics will be up tomorrow.

I stayed up late last night rebuilding the libs for GD and all the images. Earlier I had my first free time in months. I fixed the gallery and upped the space members had. It was my only time to self, but I figured the members were very loyal and it would make them happy. I'm lucky to have so many helpful people.
