I dont need you to prove that drug tolerance exists, i want you to prove that by me smoking weed, it somehow makes the marinal effect me differently. If your argument really is drug tolerance, then someone who has never smoked would be affected much worse then me from taking marinol. And if I found the effects of marinal to be way stronger then smoking weed, then someone who has never smoked before would find it MUCH stronger, which is even worse. So that just further proves my point. You can moderate doses far easier with smoking it, and never get to the point where you are so high its uncomfortable, like you can easily by taking pills.

i totally agree with Medical mary jane, all i know is i'd be prescribed like a muthafka, insomnia, anxiety, depression and chronic pain and it def duz help calming me, allows me to concentrate, fell more comfortable painwise etc....(thats tha dro but....)

Marinol will effect you differently because of the way your habitual use has altered CB1 (one of the many neurotranmitters that Marijauna effetcs) reuptake. The synapses (gaps between neurons) that transfer electrochemical signals will have developed pathways from your habitual use. Most psychoactive drugs block the reuptake of the neurotransmitter they effect, your neuron keeps firing, and you feel euphoric. Someone who hasn't developed tolerance, or even negative tolerance (chronic smokers who get powerful reactions to small doses, as with your Marinol example above) will not react the same way.

And for moderating doses, THC content varies from 2% to 16% (whether its schwag or high grade hydroponic chronic), when you get a bag does it come with a stamp saying "This bag contains X% of THC?

Ingestion method also alters the potency.

nope, the only ones you could possible argue are "feeling "drugged" or light-headed;" or " vivid or abnormal dreams;" (which i consider kind of a good side effect, I have had some awesome dreams high) and MAYBE "unusual thoughts", which would really only depend on your definition of unusual. The others dont apply at all. I bet if you asked someone wheather they would like to loose thier personality, or get a cough, and only if they do it all the time, and only if they smoke it. I think most people would choose the cough.

yeah, but you could smoke it all day, every day, and never get as high as you can from eating a couple pills. When your smoking it, you feel it almost immediatly, and so you just smoke till you have had enough, then you stop. Where when you eat it, it can take 1-2 hours to hit you, so you never know how high you are gonna get until much later, which i have noticed in the past have caused people to eat more thinking that thier previous dose was not enough to effect them. When really it just hasnt kicked in yet. Then suddenly they have had way too much and they can no longer function.

ok, even though i think the side effects of marinol are much worse then weed, ill give you that.

But the biggest side effect to me, is the one where you die.

I found quite a few reports of deaths on ambian, either by accident, or by a purposeful suicide. Heath Ledger being the most noteworthy recent one, although it is not confirmed that is what caused his death yet. But as its such a new drug (less then 2 years old) that I had trouble putting a death toll number to it yet. Im sure we arnt too far away from having that fun little fact.

Yet marijuana has been used for decades and has still not achieved a single death. Which cant be said of aspirin, sex, bowling, almost any prescription drug, alcohol, tobacco... etc.

And to me, dying because you have insomnia seems kinda stupid.
