Opening Statement

After watching the videos and reading the articles, I was beginning to think the Neolithic revolution was a great idea gone bad. However, once I began thinking about it more and more I realized it was a somewhat selfish view in an ironic sort of way seeing as, although we would have a more positive impact on our own planet, our role in the universe would be diminished. After pondering the idea more and more I came to the conclusion that man’s conquest to understand existence and the way the universe came to be and continues to be is the ultimate goals we have as a species. Without the switch to agriculture we would likely be living much more primitive and simplistic lives which, although in some respects would be a positive thing, would leave humans more ignorant and self absorbed in the grand scheme of things. Without agriculture and the way things work now, we would likely be much more close minded and withdrawn from the idea that there are things of far greater importance than man’s journey to survive on earth.

Evidence

• The residents of Papua New Guinea, although well behaved and good natured blindly believe in a god that they have no real evidence to believe in. Although this is not necessarily a bad thing, it leads to a very high level of ignorance for what else is really out there. This is arguably unimportant but in my opinion it is relevant.

• Although many people in modern nations are submitted to more of a choreographed and time-based lifestyle, there is a greater goal in mind than just staying alive. This in turn leads to more introspective and significant thinking and in turn betters how our society works to understand why we are here.

• Although perhaps irrelevant to this discussion, it is unlikely that the entirety of the human race could forever flourish as a hunter gatherer society. The majority of land we live on is not at all isolated from other sections of the world which would lead to the meeting and clash of different cultures which would inevitably lead to war. This is straying somewhat from the original question but I think it is important enough to acknowledge.

• Assuming all parties of humans would forever live isolated from one another, there is still an error in this theory in that it would sacrifice some of the ingenuity we as humans are given through underdevelopment of ideas and concepts due to restrictions as far as nutrition and spare time go. Although hunter gatherers are very intelligent in their own skills and trades, seeing how far we have advanced as a society (although not exclusively positive) it would seem like a sort of waste if all of the creativity and inventiveness were not put to use through science and experimentation.

• In my opinion, the quality of life in a society where we have the ability to research and see what others think and believe as far as why we even exist stimulates the mind to a point of wonder and awe which leaves us with a kind of infinite wonder which I think contributes greatly to motivation and originality.

lololol. it's not really even a paper. more just notes for a discussion.

I love S60's. They're like super upgraded S70's. The turning radius is REALLY awful.

If I had to buy an S60 I'd buy a 2005+ 2.5T. Its more than powerful enough for everyday driving, still very reliable, its a bit small, but still good enough.

I think its issues are few. The early S60s had spring seat issues like our 850/S70's. The '01S60 had transmission servo/TCM issues. I think mostly everything was fixed in '02+ No Evap issues, no oil leak issues, I think you're pretty safe.

My dad's '07 V70R has given him some weird quirks. He's had a "Failure to validate key, try again" messages a few times. Something with the immobiliser system and the key. I somehow managed to make the front passenger speaker rattle. And it sometimes has an idle hiccup, but no CEL. He's been meaning to take it in, but the waiting list for a service loaner is ridiculous at my POS dealer. He's been getting 24-26mpg too and he drives like Adam.

yeah I was not too impressed with the turning radius or the room inside... I am about 6'6" and just felt kind of weird in the s60... my dad said that it was smaller than the s70 inside... which I agreed when I sat down

there are two different types of seats for the s60

these KILLED my back... not sure why

and these that look like the S60R seats but are not... I have sat in the S60R seats and loved them
