The Real Obama

Recommended Posts

I dont think anyone is surprised. He's black

Zing

I am a little surprised actually. I believe Powell is a little upset with the Bush administration.

I actually got to talk with Powell about 2 years ago about a number of the Bush administration items and that how he kind of voiced it.

Powell kind of looses some creditability in my eyes

How do the McCain supporters feel about Colin Powell's endorsment of Obama?

It surprised me a bit. He stated he didn't like how far right the party had moved, so what does he do? He endoreses the most liberal democratic candidate in this nations history which lends more creadence to Chuck's theory.

Maybe.

But ...

Given McCain's foriegn policy and national defense experience, it does beg the question that why would someone of Powell's background and knowledge feel that Obama would better serve the US on the world stage?

Because he sold his soul to the Bush Administration and regretted it dearly. He probably wants to distance himself as much as he can from Bush. The way he had to argue in front of the UN that this war was justified really bothered him afterwards so he probably doesn't want a President that will continue with the same or a similar tactics and overall strategy in Iraq.

Powell said that he does not support McCain Campaign (not McCain as a President) because he does not support Palin as a VP/Pres.

Well if Colin Powell is in the middle and has two choices, right or left, he's probably going with what he believes are the most important issues and just agrees with the Democrats on them.

Powell has made some shallow moves during his career, but I don't think this is one of them.

I'm sure that's only one of the reasons.
