v4lve Posted June 7, 2009 Report Share Posted June 7, 2009 i wish it was a more intersting story Moving out of my dorm/apt, I had a large tv that was moving with my rather small roommate, got it down the stairs but when we went to put it on a dolly before i got a solid grip he lost his. I wasn't fast enough puling my finger out and it got caught under the falling tv. Between pulling my finger out and the weight of the TV it crushed my finger causing two fractures, tore my nail out, and essentially tore the skin around my finger bad enough it as hanging on by a flap - saw bone. Yay, hopefully this works out....I've been trying so hard now for 16 months trying to get back into industrial printing. I mean, there's still 3 more months of getting paid for nothing left but it got old long ago. Plus I've been doing it by mail here lately too which is a PITA. The only thing is that the i7 is supposed to be discontinued by September so if you're looking for upgradeability AMD is the way to go. Didn't really turn out well...I need some new lenses and a decent flash. EDIT: Adjusted levels and processed it a little. I'm not going to be a big fag like Dave and tell you your chin is not strong enough for a goatee, however I will say that overall the photo isn't bad. Your fronthead is blown out though, but the framing is good, however I'd move you over about an inch or so to seperate yourself from the hookah. Or even move the hookah over instead, so that you can avoid being dead center in the photo. Most importanly, use a better beer in the photo. Remember that your shutter speed controls AMBIENT light, NOT the flash. The aperture controls the effectiveness of your flash in a photo. Your max sync speed is 1/250th, anything faster than that you'll start getting black lines in your photos. So for example, you can run a shutter speed of 1/10th of a second to pull the ambient light in, and stop down to f5 to control the fash. I also like to go into the menu and change the flash sync to sync with the rear of the shutter. Hope that helps. EDIT: yea I really need to get a decent flash. I'm still using the integrated flash. Really need to pick up something like an SB-600.
