Fudge_Brownie
So back doctor number two confirms what back doctor number one says... I'm spineless. Says I lost the curve in the lumbar area of my back. Assumed complication of the herniated disc from last year. And the solution is a combination of stretching, yoga, and lifting, part of which I've been doing. Oh and they both say I need to lay off my favorite snack food, NSAID's. One recommends a short of cortisone to my back if the pain is too much because nothing makes people smile like a shot to the back. If some of you didn't know any better, you'd think I was 90 years old. I hate this acronym but... fml. Now I'm off to sit in a computer chair, stair blankly at a screen while my thoughts wonder, and try to wipe the grimace off my face. It's gonna be a good day, I can feel it. At least I have big thumbs :P
7 VII 7
Thumbs thing does not mean shit. but Fudge.. sorry to hear about your issues. Have you tried acupuncture? My good buddy (who played soccer with me for 10 years) had his back snapped by someone falling on him and he has ALWAYS had back issues... he is doing a lot better now because he gets acupuncture a couple times a year

I'll probably end up trying it eventually. I can't argue with success. And thumbs don't mean shit? So how do we know who drew the short straw? Feet?

Fudge_Brownie
my mom uses these lidocaine patches for nerve issues in her back, wonder if they'd help you? After reading about lidocaine, I'm surprised it helps her. But whatever works. You sure its lidocaine and not fentanyl? I'd blow a guy for more drugs right now. It's not an addiction, I'm just afraid I don't convey to my doctors how much pain I really feel. But they've been seeing people with pain for longer than I've been alive, so I have some faith. My gf was making fun of me when filling out my new patient form because I said drunk 4 times a week and she thinks 5 easily. Actually, when I wrote 4, she said he'd think 4 drinks a week, not drunk 4 times a week. I'm working on drinking myself to the floor currently. I go to work, I come home, drink myself till I fall asleep, repeat. It's the life we all dream about... oh shit, none of you desire this? Shocked! I got a flight to CA from the east coast coming up later this month and I'm literally scared of how much that's gonna suck. I need to quit bitching and go do yoga In other less whiney news... fuck this is gonna be a whiney session too. I came home and my Fedora Core 12 computer had errors about a corrupt partition. No signs of power outage so I'm confused how it even happened because it looks like it was mid-boot.
