EricF
I'm going to say ~300 whp and 310ish tq. Aka about 400 bhp :)
GeraldJ
Im going to say 312awhp and 325tq
lookforjoe
I'll be happy as long as it's OVER 330WHP It feels great, I just can't gauge with my butt. In my logged run this morning, pushing pretty hard in 3/4th, it was 10.73sec from 60-108mph, going WOT around 70.
BlackT5
I've scheduled a AWD dyno session next Tues. to get this map and my 24psi map fine tuned. I feel that I've tweaked it as far as I can on the street. @ $275 per hour, I hope to refine it pronto So, Dyno #'s next week!!! So are they tuning it for you? What kind of dyno? Captain Bondo
I'm interested to see how much hp you pick up between say, 20psi and 25psi. I'm betting not much... I think 350awhp is pretty much going to max that thing out... You need a 35R. Probably lose 500rpm of spool and pick up 100hp.

Its time to apply the knowledge learned from this car to an 850 build

For a guy who wants to spend the $$ for dyno time, the idea to have a pump gas tune and a race gas tune with the TT would be nice to do. It would be interesting to see the difference on one of our cars.

They don't even start stocking it until the spring is well in hand I'm interested to see how much hp you pick up between say, 20psi and 25psi. I'm betting not much... I think 350awhp is pretty much going to max that thing out... You need a 35R. Probably lose 500rpm of spool and pick up 100hp. The difference in feel between 20 & 25psi is quite appreciable. I think 350AWDHP would be the most I'd want - I don't want to kill the AWD. The problem with still larger turbo is that it's already spooling around 4K - if I go any higher up, it'll be horrible to drive around town. What's interesting is that the clutch doesn't seem to slip with my tune, whereas with the Woth tune @ 1.55Kg/cm2, it sure felt like it. So, I'd have to assume the difference in the maps affects the torque load points, and therefore clutch slippage?
Captain Bondo
Interesting about the clutch. I'm very interested to see what you make -24psi should be enough boost to send one of these motors into orbit! I assume you have the 10cm turbine housing if it isn;'t spooled up till 4000rpm. If that's the case and you're making less than say, 7 more hp/psi between 20 and 24psi, you could probably put a 25g compressor on it- pick up some efficiency and not change spool much. But anyways looking forward to the numbers, I hope you get want you want, you've been working hard at it that's for sure!
BlackT5
Maybe you missed my question. Just wondering if you'll be tuning it or letting the shop do it? What type of dyno do they use? Does the shop have a website? Looking forward to seeing what you put down!

I figured I'd pay the extra $75 an hour & have them do it, I figure they will be better at interpreting the dyno graph & figuring out where to make changes than me. I have no experience with that. lookforjoe
Well, I just wasted $500. They couldn't do anything to adjust the maps to fix the timing pull, and don't really see how TT is compensating for the maxxed out MAF. So, I spent over 2hours & 5 pulls that don't tell me shit that I don't already know from my logging. The only thing I do know, is that my own tuning has netted me the crap numbers of AWD 260WHP/304Tq. Pulls were 2.5-6.5K WOT in 4th After the first pull, my IAC elbow hose ruptured, so the 2nd pull was crap. I fixed the hose, and got 260 on the 3rd pull (above) you can see the timing pull. They also couldn't agree on the AFR - one guy felt it was good where it is, the other said it should be leaner, and I told them that JCViggen had already found out that 12 was optimum. So, it's too rich, pulls too much timing until you get close to 66K, then it starts to come back. You can see the spike in the AFR line where it starts to improve. I'm just really disheartened about the whole fucking thing. I was assuming that they could figure out how to tune the fucker to get rid of the timing pull, since I ALREADY KNEW ABOUT IT, and knew from just driving that is was going flat up top. Captain Bondo
That sucks man, sorry to hear it. That said, as I have said before, I can't see how the TT is compensating for the maxed out MAF either, so I'm not suprised. In fact I've sounded like a broken record commenting on the maxed out MAF for the last few months for the same reason. I know JC's car works but I just can't see how you can tune properly when the load signal is maxed out. What's up with the documentation for TT? Do they not explain this? How can you sell something and not explain the adjustments? There should not be any confusions on this. There should be a cut-and-dried explanation and procedure for how the car is tuned once the MAF maxes out. Failing that I really think the MAF needs to be in a bigger housing. It's still pegging the MAF. Go back to page 15 and re-read up to page 18 or so where I try to explain that however TT is handling the maxed out MAF, it doesn't seem to make sense or be very clear.
Mesoam
This.... Failing that I really think the MAF needs to be in a bigger housing. should be something fairly easy to do for you Hussein
550
Someone who was runnin in Florida upped their MAF housing size to 3" with decent results. (as far as he was saying) He could also run with an SAFC-II as well. I believe he was on a 50 trim turbo. Maybe Torquesteer? (Ben I think)
