Johann
Looking good Johann!! Any word on the Focus? Well.. Officially it has been produced June 9 and is currently on it's way or way back from the 3M company who applies the wrap. Delivery to the dealer is July 3 according the ordering system. Unofficial word is that there are some issues with parts delivery, the red Recaro seat for example, and that it will take a bit longer. I did receive a VIN yet it doesn't show up in Ford's online database which could indicate it is parked off line or somewhere between the factory and 3M. In the mean time, here's a small video.. http://www.abhd.nl/video/ford-focus-rs500/ And another, http://www.autoweek.nl/video/1924/Ford-Focus-RS500-vs-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-STi

impulse922
so what color is underneath the wrap? or is the wrap considered a weight saving alternative?
Emiel
Today 1500 hrs. Drek. I've seen your shed already (like 150 times), it's bigger then my house...
Johann
so what color is underneath the wrap? It's the fairly standard Ford Panther Black Metallic color underneath.
Johann
A couple of pics of the factory installed custom intercooler and the wrapping process. Base color of the car can be seen. Unfortunately some suit over at Ford decided it would be nice to deliver all 10 Dutch RS500's at once despite my RS500 already having received the so called Gate Release status. Instead of delivery at the dealer July 9 delivery now has been postponed to July 31.
gdizzle
I don't really understand why they're wrapping the cars. Why not just paint it matte?
EVL WAGN
I don't really understand why they're wrapping the cars. Why not just paint it matte? Agreed...sounds dumb to me.

Johann
I don't really understand why they're wrapping the cars. Why not just paint it matte? Maybe their factory paint process isn't suitable? Panther Black is a fairly stock color.
