Commander Riker
I, for one, am sad to see that the poor deeds and poor actions of few have spoiled something good for the many. In a recent conversation with scandalo, I learned it was going to be mandatory that pictures with date time and info be displayed with the item for sale. I thought to myself... "what the hell does this fix?" It's too bad that every other volvo site can have a for sale section and we cannot. It's not chuck's fault... it's the stupid f*cks who've made bad deals or no deals at all that have ruined it for us. Don't blame the admin... blame the users. VolvoSpeed has been ruined by VolvoThieves. 3

JRL
When I had my GTO, I was on this site daily. The sale rules are very specific and ANY deviation would result in the thread being removed JUST LIKE THAT! A mod was ALWAYS on line so you had all of one hour, if your thread did not meet the rules, it was removed The mods here should read these rules and decide whether perhaps they may want to reinstate the sale forum with these rules in place. http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=337512 2

ozzimark
Wow, mega-lulz from a lot of people here. It's time to step on some toes. We did egg Jim on, but yes, yes he did. Wow this sucks /end subscription    Wait soo let me get this straight you took off the regular for sale to charge us another 60$? damn liberals Oh, ok, so instead it's fine for you to receive a free service, but as soon as he wants to be able to actually pay for it without losing a bunch of money, you call him a liberal. Of all things, come on, you should know better, stop being a conservative wannabe. If this is the case that started the changes to for sale - why is greekone billy being allowed to be a part of the quaife group buy? Has he righted his wrongs? Should he be allowed? Is it fair? He is no longer banned. Even if he wasn't allowed to participate, I would put myself down for two and we'd handle it outside of the forum. Well this is kinda lame. Honestly, the FS section was one of the main reasons I came on this site. I feel doing this will have a very negative effect on the site as a whole, and its traffic/use. Boo. Guess I'll be going other places to buy and sell. You don't sell anything anyway, so this doesn't affect you at all. You're just browsing all of the same stuff in a slightly different layout. Big deal, get over it and stop resisting change like a little baby. 1
VolvoFan
Okay... time to throw my hat into this ring. I'm not a fan of the new format, but I seriously doubt that the mods of this site made the decision to move to it frivolously. Maybe it was the scams, maybe it was to increase site revenue, maybe it was some other back-office decision point I don't know or care about. I'll deal with it, because it's better than nothing. Maybe I'll post stuff up on other forums too or on eBay instead of just throwing it on VS and waiting for it to move, but I'll still try to work with this site however it's configured. If the site gets a few pennies of the final value of stuff I sell, then that's cool. I'm pretty sure I get more out of this site in terms of information than it gets out of me in terms of the aggregate cash value of my membership. Sorta like the hungry fat kid who goes to the all-you-can-eat buffet and the owners say "oh crap... we're gonna lose some money on this one." My .02: Folks can whine about the change, blame the mods, blame a few errant shithead members, or point fingers wherever they want. I would suggest that members should make their opinions (positive or negative) known to the powers that be through this forum in a professional manner, then take whatever individual actions (positive or negative) they wish by either embracing the new system or taking your traffic elsewhere or doing nothing or some combination thereof... the aggregate result of all the users reacting in this manner will cause the change to stick or be altered or be removed entirely; live with the result. Otherwise, it's like bitching about the person who's in office when you didn't get your ass off the couch to vote in the last election. By the way, I would appreciate it if a mod would help me activate my "VS For Sale" membership because Uncle Sam strips the links out of all the emails that go into my acct, so I can't click the link to activate it even though I have registered. Good luck, VS. -Jon

z31jaime
wait so I'm confused. The new system looks a lot like Ebay. So what no haggling with sellers? Just BUY it now. I already spent very little time on this site due to its compatibility issues with IE and me not being able to get on at work. People wanting to overprice there used parts was crazy ($100 for OEM 072 ecu's....... every pick and Pull in Florida sells em for $35). Then the scams kicked in, and now this new style of selling...with fees....Its just gonna make the Prices go up in order to make up for the fees. Craigslist and Floridavolvocommunity.net here I come! Che'_Moderator
What happen to what the people want??????????? When did we ever have that? As for haggeling it has make an offer as an option and I can enable a bidding option if you guys want. New for sale sections has ~20% more traffic than the previous forum set up so say what you want but as far as facts. 1. It cost less to users. 2. It generates more exposure.
