gilber33
XC70 use Nivomats right? Can't you use shocks and normal springs in their place with no problems?

Yes, but it's a little more complicated than that. Do some searching.
gilber33
Yes, but it's a little more complicated than that. Do some searching. I searched and everything I found people just say that you can't just replace the shocks because the Nivomat springs are weaker, so if you do it, you have to replace the shock and strut. I remember reading a thread that said you could use the Nivomat shock mounts with normal shocks as well. Am I missing something?
gdizzle
The issue is finding a shock that will work since the AWD rear suspension uses a different mounting system than the FWD. You are correct in the fact that the nivo spring and nivo shock have to go. Finding a spring isn't the issue, it's the shock.

Because people are just wired that way...go read "Influence: the Psychology of Persuasion" by Robert Cialdini - you'll be wide eyed at how easy it is to influence the unaware. Dont need a book to tell me what physiology class teaches. I laughed all morning at some of my friends saving a whole 3-4$ on 20-40$ items. I guess no one realizes that half the stuff they bought is marked at the same price it is every single day... Bealls Now the 58" flat screens for 360, or the 40" for 120.... I wish I would have got in line after I dropped the wife off for work. Now for the fun part of the day... Its almost 730, there's 3 other people here, its chilly in the office, and I have about another hour of actual work... Boss is just sitting in his office doing nothing, he cant really order anything because inventory manager is out "sick" today + there is no production staff here to build anything. Shipping manager is just chillin on the shipping dock making some crates and cutting wood to pass time. The 1 Project manager here whos not salary is chillin in his office playing games why the hell did we even have to come in today.... Hows everyone's Friday going? 1
