I did get fed up with the over bookings and what I viewed as a total lack of appreciation/respect. I tend to over think things and have been going through a lot of stress in all kinds of ways lately. I have since talked things over with the boss, and he understood where I was coming from. He has told me we are going to slow down a lot on bookings and that he really does appreciate what we do here, but got caught up in everything and didn't realize the frustrations I have been having with everything. We had a pretty heartfelt talk today, and he assured me we would be getting a pay raise, and will get compensated better for all the extra things that I do and put up with. And he will show us the respect and appreciation that we deserve. He is a business man, who is self made, so he does have quite the tough exterior, which for me is intimidating to deal with in certain situations; such as expressing my views and emotions. But after talking with him, he has assured me that he does care about us, and sees me as "his illegitimate son", and only wishes his real son could be more like me, which is why he can be hard on me at times. He really does seem to want the best for me, but at the same time has to do whats good for him and the business. I completely understand what he means, and have to learn to just speak up about things rather than holding it in and stewing over it. 4 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
