iPd Cameron
Went out on sat, the whirring of the chain through the fresh drivetrain is such an awesome sound. A few people passed the other direction and all I could hear was how bad their chain was squeaking, not an awesome sound. Like with cars, a looooooooot of people don't maintain their bikes. No chain lube, WAY too much chain lube, creaking bottom brackets and headsets, incorrectly inflated tires, etc. I will agree with you -- fresh, properly adjusted and lubed drivetrain sound is very satisfying! Timbo Slice
Took a ride down to Newport Beach yesterday. It was a shorter ride but I got my first dose of real climbing on this bike. I'm happy to say I'm getting more and more comfortable riding the Felt and I am happier than expected with this purchase.

Timbo Slice
Shit I had no idea! I'm loving it so far, if I can afford it I'll probably be staying here for quite a while until the super-liberalism gets to me.

I am currently running ancient shimano hubs but the last time I really had someone service them he said they were getting end of life so I've been asking around on people's opinions who have more then one road bike
corivus
Here's an updated picture of my bike, still need to replace the brake cables but part of me wants to get some dura-ace levers to replace the dia-comps that are on right now first. Nothing near as clean as what some of you are running for road bikes on here but it gets me from point A to point B in commuter mode rather easily and converts back to touring duty really easy. I really want to get my crankset cleaned up a lot more then it currently is I just haven't had time to polish it up yet.

Timbo Slice
My buddy literally just bought that exact bike. He is slowly becoming less and less of my buddy.
matt b
Dude, I dunno, I may pull the trigger on one. Perfect when going out for a few beers in the evening.

Because you could still find your bike in the dark? Maybe the inability to find it is a feature rather than a bug when you can't see straight in the first place. Brady
I used to ride single tracks a lot in middle school. Early in high school I was dumb and sold my full suspension Giant and started riding a little BMX. I haven't ridden bikes in a few years, but now that I'm in Durango I'm ecstatic to be getting back into trail riding! Yesterday I bought my new 21" Specialized Rockhopper 29er hardtail after shopping around for and researching budget level bikes that can handle some hard riding.
