flyfishing3
if its really cold, <30 i'll get it. but its only generally when i'm really pushing. i'll tell you what i do thats kind of odd or whatever you want to call it. if i'm digging hard, i'll push my tongue against my bottom row of teeth. Then with heavy breathing, it feels like i'm getting frost bite on my tongue lol. i don't breathe enough out of my nose.
iPd Cameron
Oh yeah, bike pics too from this weekend. Put cross tires on my single speed and explored some local trails Saturday morning. So much fun, but the 44x18 gearing is a bit much for any real hills off pavement.
GltGreco
Super weak instagram photo of my bike I built for the city on a ride through my other neighborhood that is in fact not the city. It is super bootleg but very fun to ride and not pretty looking enough to be stolen when at home in Boston. matt b
Alden, I think it's pretty common. I noticed that it was easier to ride in the cold after 5-6 rides but it's still a tough 15-20 minutes at first. I have to sit down when I get off the bike after a very cold ride, I tend to get dizzy. GltGreco
I've been having trouble getting used to the cold as well, especially on my cold early morning commute. My commute to work is only about a 15-20 minute ride but usually that means 15 minutes of me being cold then 5 minutes of me beginning to sweat. I think I need to find better layers to ride in. matt b
Ignore the test saddle from Fizik, I'll swing by and swap it out tomorrow. Bar none, the best bike I've ever owned. Twitchy without being unpredictable, stiff in both the head tube and the rear end, as it sits in the picture it weighs just under 16 lbs. Great bike.
flyfishing3
you see my question in LATEST PURCHASE? i was asking about your new SIDI's.
matt b
you see my question in LATEST PURCHASE? i was asking about your new SIDI's. I responded. Love them. No numbness, they're snug (I have narrower feet than most people), the heel cup system is genius and they look cool. And I was able to find them in Sydney for a song, never thought I could grab those shoes for that price.

matt b
Pat, remove the bit about delivering the bike. It just sounds fishy. Mike: almost couldn't see the bike, the Volvo letters on your grille were so big........
