Fudge_Brownie
Pat, remove the bit about delivering the bike. It just sounds fishy.Really? I didn't think anything was odd about it. Even if you're the kinda person who's worried about having a stranger visit your home (and you can always meet in public near-by) it just means you don't take him up on the offer. Many CL users are frustrated with the amount of people they drive out to see and discover the item is gone, nothing like described, person isn't there etc. IF the person is willing to deliver, that shifts the risk of wasting time to Pat. BurgerBob
Pat, remove the bit about delivering the bike. It just sounds fishy. Mike: almost couldn't see the bike, the Volvo letters on your grille were so big........ Really? I drove an hour to pick up my last bike and would've loved delivery. And the buyer of the last bike I sold was stoked that I was willing to deliver his new bike. I have a truck with a rack, so no point making someone stuff it in a car. Fudge_Brownie
So I watched that video, and... that name is kinda deceiving. Great for marketing, but it seems like they're patting themselves on the back for an idea that I thought had been conceived a long time ago. It's a personal airbag. And I'm not seeing that scarf-type device being any more comfortable than a helmet. I guess I don't have nearly the amount of hair these women have, nor do I care about helmet head.
Burn-E
It's not new, other vendors have had personal airbags of various types out for 5+ years. I'm looking forward to the first post by some owner of a V40 complaining that a punk kid kicked their bumper and set off the external airbags: http://www.treehugger.com/bikes/have-we-entered-era-personal-airbag.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnZD1uMN3Y0
esundell90
Guess I never posted my fleet, but here it is: My newest toy, a custom NS Surge. 2014 Fox 32 CTD 140mm dual air fork, KS dropper, SRAM x7 drivetrain, X9 shifters, E13 bashgaurd, Chromag controls (bars, Stem, grips) XT brakes, Custom built Sun Ringle Charger 29mm's w/ Maxxis High roller 2.5's. This bike shreds so hard it's unreal. Easily my best and favorite creation to date. Here's my long distance touring rig/commuter. In this case, about to embark on this summers 600mile trip with a full load. It's a 2000 Trek 800, that I've SS'd, racked and fendered. I put in an old Syncro's Bar and stem, and crankset, and upgraded to Avid WR2 V-brakes with new Kenda Small block 8's as rubber. Thing is comfy for long distances and sees a lot of miles even though it's not the most exciting rig in my stable: Sold this this year, but this was my Trek Slash 9.9. I dug the bike, but it was expensive and too heavy for my likeing after spending a lot of time abord it. But boy this bike is like a DH bike that you can pedal. I rips down hills with reckless abandon. Bike was 100% stock, which isn't how I usually roll, but the part spec on this bike wasn't bad from the get go. My SS. Love this thing a lot too, and it sees a lot of saddle time. 06 Surly Karate Monkey, custom powdercoated frame. 2012 Rock Shox Reba 100mm dual air, Chromag bars/stem, ODI grips, Surly rear Cog 19t, Sun Ringle Charger 27's with DMR revolver hubs with Maxxis Ignitors, Bontrager Crankset and older SLX hydro brakes The Race whip. old 00 K2 Zed 2.0 with everything on it replaced. Full XTR driveline. 1x9 setup. older 06 Fox RL80 Dual Air fork, Avid RW2 Vbrakes, Mavic crossmax wheels with Maxxis Ardent in front, Larson in the rear, bontrager stem and bards. Ergo grips and saddle. It weigs in at sub 23lbs with pedals. It rips. I don't have a pic of my newest addition, a 08 Kona Kula 26in that I picked up for the GF to ride. Fun as stuff bike too. 120mm Fox fork, truvativ stylo cranks, x7 drivetrain, Avid jucy5's (can't wait to ditch these for Shimanos!) and other good misc. kit bits. Thing is a blast to ride. Anyways, that's it, FOR NOW! muwahahaha. I have plans for a fatbike in the future, or maybe another FS trail bike, but I'm not a big diehard on full suspension bikes. It would just be nice to have for a few things.
