Zappo
Everett to Sacramento was one shot, 11.5 hours with 1 stop for gas and to go pee. Any females in the car would have added hours to the travel time.

andyb5
Time to work on the Datsun. Pulled it out of the spot its been sitting in for 3 years now and pushed it into the garage, my son's been after me to get it going again. Immediate plans are oil change, plugs, and pull the carbs, take them apart and clean them (3 years can't be good, but they're still pumping gas and that's a good thing). Might end up pulling the gas tank and cleaning that as well. Then valve adjustment and replace all vacuum lines. Once that's done, probably do an exhaust. If all goes well and I get this running good again, I'll do new brakes all the way around, then new tires. Last night when we pulled it in, we vacuumed all the pine needles off/out of it, and I fixed the passenger door that wouldn't open because the locking mechanism was all froze up. Cool project! A friend at school has a Z he spent a lot while restoring. He use to use it as his drift car for a while, but now its a nice day toy Anyways, good luck with your Z and keep us updated on how it goes
RedFire
Busy day. Vaccumed the car out, shampooed the carpets and mats, cleaned and conditioned the seats, cleaned the cargo area out, washed the car, clay bar, polish and wax the paint, tire shine, windows, clean engine bay. Also cleaned the intercooler hoses out and cleaned the throttle body, installed a new drivers sun visor to replace the sagging one and several other things. It's on it's way that's for sure. matt b
Urgh.... Took it in for an alignment, can't get the car to not pull to the right. Left it at dealership so they could take the left side apart and find out what got bent/tweaked when I hit a pothole a few weeks ago.
ruecatinat
Can I play? Pssh, you're both lightweights. Try Chicago to Salt Lake City to Logan, UT to Las Vegas to Denver to Chicago. 3,747 miles. The two major legs in 2 days each. Sounds simple right? Now add in 5 kids under the age of 10 including an infant 7 months old. And they're girls at least one of whom will have to pee at least once every hour. They ought to call it the Mini Van Mega Marathon. Thank heavens for iPads, headphones, charging ports, and an in-car DVD system. Otherwise I'm sure we would have heard that familiar refrain a dozen times an hour, Drove 1600 miles (or 2600km) - Mississauga, ON to Austin,Texas once with a friend...in a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire. 30 hours total, non-stop. Never missed my Volvo seats more

Mine wasn't nearly that spectacular. 6600 miles round trip Portland, Boise, Denver, Chicago, Helen, New Orleans, Austin, Roswell, Gallup, Price, La Grande, Portland. Car had two minor breakdowns and one major one all on the return trip. All I had to deal with was my younger brother.
Ihatespeedbumps
Replaced the RR wheel bearing (replaced LR two weeks ago) Installed used RR speaker to eliminate what I thought was a blown speaker. Found out some moron installed a paper cone standard audio speaker. Bass rattle is gone and now I'm a happy camper. Adjusted waste gate rod down 8 turns and though it's better, I'm still over boosting badly. Suspect I may have a bad actuator.

Ihatespeedbumps
Shit, you're telling me. If it weren't such a unicorn I would have scraped the bastard by now. Front shocks are also leaking worse than suspected, the oil is now covering the entire left side of the subframe. What have I learned about the PO? He fixed the bare minimum, hauled his shit ass kids and dogs around in it and punted right when he knew it was going to hit the fan. Fortunately I bought it so cheap I'm still in it right, but the punches keep coming. I had someone offer to buy it today, but I told him only stupid money would buy the car, mostly because of the bullshit I've been through.
matt b
Consider going with KW's when you re-do the suspension. It's the one thing I wish I had done instead of the 4C option. 4C's are overrated, I honestly don't get the appeal, they leak, rust, need calibration, etc... WTF...... I had considered them, but I truly use the different settings for different driving conditions. Maybe if I had another DD I'd go this route. If you want to sell your 4C's and go KW we could work something out installed I'll gladly take that bull off of your hands! As I stated, stupid offers would be accepted. For the right price I'd even deliver
