survolvo Posted March 6, 2015 Report Share Posted March 6, 2015 Responded to car accident this morning. The driver fell asleep at the wheel and didn't turn when the road did, hitting the hillside. He had enough speed that he launched off the hillside, flew between the hill and the sign, landed on the roof, the car rolled back onto its wheels, and rolled into the hill. I was surprised that not a single airbag was deployed. They managed to hit every spot except where the sensors were. Both occupants walked away with a few scratches and very shaken. They are lucky they went into the hill and not off the edge. We have had a few cars go over the cliff in that same spot, and they never have a happy ending. This spot has had a few accidents recently. Last summer a lady drove off the road into a grove of Willow trees. No one found her until 2 weeks later. We had to extricate the body for the coroner.
