NitroX5
You have the same kind of wear as I had. On thrust plate back side, not suprising. So, as I mentioned before it couldn't caused by the BOV. You should buy at least the upgraded Thrust plate system (http://www.4gtuner.com/topic/19534-epic-turbo-thrust-damage/) I doubt that only the weak thrust plate caused the problem, but could be. boxpin
Got the turbo gutted and cleaned up. Had the plumbing added for the synapse recirc valve and the wastegate welded to the anti-surge housing.

I read that post and would love to get a hold of that upgraded collar but he makes no mention of where to get it.

lookforjoe
Hussein, where did you source the Melett? Matt, it was quite a few years ago now, i don't recall. I'll look and see if I have a receipt in my files.
mattwebb502
Nah, no worries. Don't go digging. I was just curious. I had looked around a year ago and nobody really seems to advertise that they use/sell/stock Melett. So without making a bunch of inquiries, a Melett kit is hard to price shop. Or maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. Sorry for the thread hijack.

boxpin
I need ideas on how to stop a V-band from rotating. My exhaust is moving and touching the sway. Looking for ideas to keep the v-band from the turbo from rotating.
