They have to make 300% margins in one year in order to cover their R&D costs. If Rye couldn't succeed with his 20T setup I certainly don't see this getting far with the enthusiasts who are now buying $6-10k R's. But you know what they say.... Point was, his price point was significantly better than IPD's given what it included and it didn't seem like people were breaking down his door to purchase the kit. When i bought my tickets i knew i was paying for ::better:: seats. the ticket said row FF. so i figured i was like 32 rows back, which i was fine with. got to the show, nope. 6th row from stage. It was unreal. The band was super tight. The drummer was his original drummer 46years, guitarist 43 years etc etc. he only played for 100 minutes, but no BS. just played. He did most of his better stuff. 1 song i've never heard before and hope to never hear again. It had something to do with native americans. very happy i went. If he's ever around, make a point to go. the dead are playing in CHI this summer as their last shows. I reached out to tons of people. no tickets around except for thousands of dollars. i have hotel rooms booked and i'm not giving them up until i give up the ghost on that one.
