Didn't Ryan pass away long before you worked there? So I don't think you can say "we" in that instance.

don't you refer to your team and job as "we"?

We've had this talk before, perfectly acceptable. Alain even linked an article about it before

No. If it were prior to my employment I would say "I have heard from other employees that Ryan Dunn purchased a few cars from the dealership where I now work."

Not when I didn't work there. I bought a bike from a guy who bought it from the shop I used to work at. He bought it before I worked there. He didn't buy it from "us" and "we" didn't sell it to him - I wasn't working there when he bought it. If his name was, for instance, Ryan Dunn, I might say:

Ryan Dunn bought a bike from the shop I worked at way before I was employed there. Then, he crashed it driving home from a bar.

See how that works? No we, no us. More of a them, they, it kind of statement.

Oh ok. If Alain linked an article from the internet then is must be legit. Sorry for the mistake.

And to answer your question; I only refer to my job or crew as we if I am referring to a time when I was a part of said job or crew.
