You live in Canada you have sooooo much more available. Evo V-VI's, R34's,  X100 Chasers, WC34 Stageas, come on it's a Skyline GTR wagon! The list goes on and on and on and on. I wish we had your 15 year law.

Fair enough. Although, if it means anything, insurance here is so much more expensive, especially in the city (at least in Ontario anyways).

My buddies and I were talking with Jack (jippi) at Carlisle a couple of years ago, and the amount he pays for 3 or 4 cars is equivalent to having one in Ontario. It's a bit more difficult to insure RHD cars up here too as only some insurance companies are comfortable with doing it.

Why is insurance so expensive up there?
My GVR4 is just insured as an 88 Galant. Insurance is like $240 for the year on it. I'm screwed if something happens to it and its my fault though. But after USAA dicking me around even with a "stated value" policy fuck it. When adding the GVR4 to my policy (Progressive now) they couldn't seem to care less that the car was imported and is rhd. Years ago when hanging out with people with illegal Skylines they all used Progressive.

I pay 130/mo to allstate for my two cars. How do you even get it to $58??

I had a nightmare last night that a massive tree crushed both my cars. Insurance adjusters came said I was fucked, then i go back outside and they stole both of them. I think I woke up ready to cry

I don't have full coverage anymore. When I had the S70 and the XC90 (full coverage, $200 deductible)  it was...ready for this...

$88.00

I'm old, good record and same agent for 15 years. ( I don't do online insurance. broker is the way to go)

I can leave a message on Mike's ( my agent) voicemail and I am insured from the moment of that VM no matter what. I get good rates and other deals too.

and thats up $6 because of a speeding ticket 2 years ago

I had a clean record from like 16-29. But the past two years... I've had some bad luck when not running my radar detector out of town.

WHAT!?!?!?!?! ^^^^ location has 'some' to do with that but WTF

Might want to ask what his accident rate looks like and who else is on the policy.

Combined I pay $750 every 6 months for all 3 cars which works out to about $125 a month. But we're accident and ticket free for over a decade and live in the burbs and get all kinds of discounts including the combined policy with our home owners insurance.. In 3 years when my oldest daughter starts driving that's obviously going to change.

New York metro area, age 27, sole operator, 1 speeding ticket 3 years ago another about 6 months before that which got me the driver assessment fee, aka give us $300 to keep your license now plus your rate goes up exponentially every month, I was paying only 300 at first once the driver assessment was processed that was it

A little under $160 CDN a month for me, only liability, and one car. I'm signed up as a primary driver for it but the car itself is still under my family's name. I should consider myself fortunate though, since my family gets a special group rate. Normal insurance rates are actually around $300-$400-ish for one car.

From what I've heard, Brampton, ON. has the most expensive insurance rates in North American... if you thought stereotypical Asian drivers are bad, you guys need to see the drivers of Brampton. They're on a whole new level of shit.

I don't know.  We have a large number of little old Pakistani and Indian ladies who can barely see over the steering wheel and who clearly never drove before coming to the States. They're something else.

try Cuban's who only ridden a donkey before coming to the US.. I literally have had people tell me they never driven, just a horse or a donkey. But when they get processed they are asked if they have a drivers license in cuba, they all say yes. they get a paper handed to them to take the written test in spanish (which they can do online) and boom.... drivers license
