Some asshole sold me an OBX TBE and didn't include the clamps. Options? There's nothing local that I can find so I'm going to have to order them. I have the original OBX clamps somewhere I upgraded to 2.5" clampco V-bands when I got the obx, but sold them with the exhaust. I found them on ebay for like $5 a peice
Timbo Slice
I ended up ordering some from SummitRacing in stainless so hopefully they'll work well. The OBX kit required two (2) 3" V-Bands and one (1) 2.5" V-Band in case anyone was wondering.
Kevin.
I had the shitty v-band removed from my OBX downpipe, I wouldn't trust their quality. Did you get the v-bands that have the lip on the inside of them so they seat properly?
Timbo Slice
The flanges aren't a problem, it's the clamps that are shitty. And yes I believe I got the proper clamps. I guess we'll find out when they show up.

Kevin.
the o ring unseated and I lost oil pressure under full boost, it would have happened to you too Mike. No way I could have known, all the o rings were inspected for leaking and none were beforehand. You're always quick to take shots, just let it go

Jon just straight up forgot to add transmission fluid.

Matty Moo
All I see is that Kevin's "o-ring" got mangled and blown out. Those OBX clamps suck, even for free.
Timbo Slice
Does anyone have reference to which clamps they bought to replace the OBX ones? I bought some from Summit Racing and they don't fit. the V on the clamp is too wide so the two flanges never seat to each other and there's a 1/16" gap between the flanges when it's all tightened down. MattyXXL
I forgot which were the exact ones I ordered but I measured and got all 3 the same size. As stated above I found them on eBay http://www.clampco.com/products/v-band-std.asp
Kevin.
those look like the exact ones I bought off Amazon awhile ago http://www.amazon.com/3-00-Clamp-Turbo-Downpipe-Stainess/dp/B00BR3UWXY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1461882756&sr=8-1&keywords=3%22+v+band
Timbo Slice
Thanks guys. I guess I'll just have to settle on installing my intercooler components and no exhaust this weekend while I wait for new clamps to arrive.. Darn.
