Now that's rich right there.  The shallowest little pussy in the history of vs has spoken.  Timo and I were playing around hoping to get a response from a little sissy ass bitch and we were not disappointed.  ;)  Thanks for the laugh little man.

Which is why I phrased things the way I did. I'm also addressing all of your 'contributions' which you say are trolling, but I think you're not actually capable of holding reasonable debate.

That's because you are a little napoleanic bastard that has to have high regard for himself because nobody outside his mother thinks he was worth the feeble squirt that made him.  When the words "punk ass" were initially put together, the originator had no idea how perfectly it would describe you.  Anytime you want to debate you bring your scrawny ass in the forum and I will gladly make you cry.

PS-  I have one more word for you but I cant remember what it was.............oh yeah  PUSSY!

“Not surprisingly, wages for people working in our country, real wages, real numbers, haven’t increased for 18 years.”

-Donald Trump 6/14/16

“Our taxes are too high. Our wages are too high. We have to compete with other countries.”

-Donald Trump 11/11/15

well what is it Mr Donald? Seeing that he is a corporate elitist, he would lower wages if he could and then tell people to just work harder

The problem is this 'medicinal' use in history isn't tested to the same standard as other medications on the market. They have some FDA approved drugs on the market now. But there's a lot of this herbal remedy nonsense that isn't medically useful until researched thoroughly. Maybe the chemical make-up is understood, but that doesn't mean we understand entirely how it reacts with the body, long term use consequences (especially across the variety of preparations), and most importantly what it can help. Otherwise, it borders on naturopathy pseudoscience bullshit. E.g. Take this vitamin and and some basil leaf tea to cure your flu. In mixed blessing fashion, the increasing public concern over opiate use/abuse will drive people to see it in a different light as the lesser of two evils.

Kevin, what is your source for this 'immense harm to your body when used for long term', and what kind of damage? Addiction is a strong concern, and some have tylenol or ibuprofen in them which causes damage for those who consume too many. But aside from addiction, I believe opiates are considered reasonably safe when used correctly. They certainly have side effects, and any doctor worthy of their medical license should be aware of them.

huge huge read, but lots of good info. Basically the CDC says that a ton of people are on long term opiate prescriptions when opiates should really be used only for short term (<1 year) as they can cause problems

I am down with that.  We have become a country of entitled pussies that think they shouldn't have to work.

I voted down two of your posts a month ago (with reason), and since then, you've been going on sprees downvoting mine. A month later. And I'm the napoleanic pussy? Simple thoughts. Shallow man. So either hold a discussion, or take it to the OT thread. You've got an audience of people willing to be sold on Trump. Except Kevin, who's still wondering if Bernie will win.

I'm only skimming this, but I'm not seeing 'immense harm to your body when used for long term'. A lot of what they address seems to be over-prescription, abuse, and they also hit on already well known risks for those with certain conditions (e.g. pregnancy, kidney or liver failure, drug-drug interactions). I'm not trying to say that someone like your wife shouldn't consider literally everything else before this. I'm just taking issue with the claim of 'immense harm'. Especially relative to so many other medications we all take. Like Tylenol which carries substantial worst-case scenarios, but is considered relatively safe.

Better yet, mind your own business.  Discussion didn't have anything to do with you and you had to try to make yourself relevant by butting in.  Now butt your little ass out and let the adults talk here.

Don't waste your time arguing with the mongoloid Kevin.  Nobody is going to be able to tell you what your wife reacts to and doesn't react to except you and her.  Hope she gets to feeling better regularly.

Opiates are horrible.  Having two herniated discs for 15 years they ease the pain initially, but then you get addicted to them psychologically as they have an emotional component.  The withdraw from them can be excruciating, worse than the initial pain.

They should not be prescribed until all other options are not working.  I am happily free of them now, after realizing physical therapy and alternative medication is better.

I hope the next president can real in big pharma, it is out of control.

My girlfriend is in Pharmacy school right now, and she has told me a big topic regarding politics within her friend group is how the upcoming presidency will deal with pharmacy as a whole. As I see it right now, it could go both completely different directions depending on who is in charge.

This is not a meaningful post. Show some intelligence.

I don't disagree with anything you said. They come with substantial strings attached. But that still isn't 'immense harm'. That's side effects.

yeah, because $7.50 an hour is a livable wage. Tell me how I can afford an apartment, utilities, a car, insurance, and food on $1200 a month (pre tax). Ok, maybe I take public transportation but that's still not free. The cheapest apartments I could find in NJ in my area were $800 a month, how the fuck would I eat food and be able to have a good life?

To all of the old guys, you had it good. You could work a summer job and pay for an entire year of college. You could work 40 hours a week and afford a fucking house and a car without a degree, because we used to care about people. Now we just care about profits, and people should just be working harder. That's 100% bullshit, America works some of the longest hours on average of any country yet we have the smallest amount in our savings comparatively speaking. Corporations don't give a flying fuck about you as a person, they just care about money.
