The motor really is insane. It's the fastest car I've personally driven, and the sound + power combo when you're full throttle through 3rd and 4th is just...idk there really isn't an adjective I can come up with it. Unreal would be close.

Anyways, the main issue on the car is the SMG pump. Be smart and patient, and you might want to wait for a 6 speed to avoid that issue. Next huge issue is rod bearings. It's be good to make sure they're replaced already or work that into the purchase price because they'll likely need to be done asap. Also Vanos is another thing to make sure that it's taken care of.

Other than that it's a solid car man. I've always loved the M3 and M5 of that time period, and prior. Please make sure you share if you grab anything!

Yeah same S85 motor in both cars I think... what draws you to them other than the v10?

Everything lol.  Always had a real soft spot for the E49 M5 but low mileage examples are getting pricey.  The newer one gives me all those feels too.  Also been eyeing the CLS63.  Really a great looking car with power.

Does anyone have recommendations for OEM (from any manufacturer) USB outlets? Looking for assembled units that do 12V -> 5V, require no Bus connection and most importantly are properly shielded.

Also does anyone know of any LVDS to composite converters that work as a standalone unit? They exist for OEM applications (such as backup camera in X60 Volvos) but all require CAN-Bus connection(s).
