Religulous

Kevin, again you're using an example of one misguided member to tar an entire faith.

I'll put you on ignore if you persist with spreading ignorance.

Everyone I know is shaking their heads at how this former Senator presents himself.  He represents an extremely fundamentalist view and I certainly wouldn't vote for him.

Is it possible I'm a fast talking yankee? Or is this guy trying to see how slow he can talk?

JW and Mormonism are cults, this isn't rocket science

If you think his voting bias lends to your believe that it's a cult, why don't you do the same with the other christian congressmen who vote in the name of their own religion? Why are you limiting the scope of cult to only those two? Seems like the others would fit your criteria too.

Kevin took a break but is now back to stir the pot.  Far-left memes on facebook and plenty of free time do that to a person.  Religion is one of those things that the far-left have put under attack.  I'm not a religious cat by any means these days, but another person's religious preference is none of my business. It's about the same as worrying about how big your neighbor's dick is. I am Catholic by the way, but not practicing.   You can't be your own person without coming under attack at this time.

Being moderate is the same as being a card-carrying Klan member.

Eh, I think it's becoming easier and/or more socially acceptable to push back against the religious integration in to our laws and government. I don't know if I'd agree it's broadly under attack so much as under review. Being questioned. And I've argued quite a few times here against the use of religion to directly define or justify law. Unfortunately, I think that also extends to a lot of religious people becoming disillusioned with their previous religious upbringing and railing strongly against it like they're now free from a captor in an aggressively unreasonable way. Granted, I think I might have just implied they're all cults. I just don't get why he's limiting it. It seems lazily thought out. A lot of religiously motivated political decisions have happened since 9/11.

I work with a guy that probably works 80 hours or more a week.  I always remind him that his wife is more than likely banging other dudes while he's at work 24/7.

Did you actually read the article?  Courts said there is no issue with the10 commandments being part of a display.  It just can't be exclusive and that's what Mauzy attempted.  I agree with the courts.
