Well a conservative minority it is. However, there is no balance of power and the parliment is VERY politcally weak.

Canada is without a doubt a left leaning country, so with the exception of the 'ruling' conservatives every other party is ideologically opposed to Mr. Harper.

This could definitly make for some interesting politics through the Conservatives needing Bloc or NDP support to pass bills, but the Liberals, Bloc, and the DJ could pass some amazing legislation that could get the Liberal popularity back up in QC.

Also, dispite the minority control of the Conservatives, look for the Liberals to lead legislation from the opposition since they have a better ideological and negotiating relationship with the Bloc and the NDP.

All the while, all the parties know that we don't want to be back at the polls any time sooner than necessary!!

PS - Stephen Harper sucks, if he makes me American i'll go nuts!

the queen can lick my ball sack!!

I am really worried about this harper guy. He doesn't answer any questions, he came out of no where, he'll most certainly be a push over from US interests, and his eye colour is too vampirish!

I think if the Liberals put Belinda as the party leader it could be trouble (read - conservative majority). I'd vote for her, but there are too many people that wouldn't have a woman leader, not to mention the rich dad, and wishy washy allegiences!?

Time will tell, but i'm with you G, i told my friends last night based on how seats were settling out, it's going to be i think 13 months until we're voting again!

What about Jean Charest, do think he might leave the Preimership of Quebec to become our new Prime Minister. He would clean up, Harper would not have a prayer against him, heck I would vote absentee for him.

Well certainly to take seats away from the conservatives. But wasn't Charest a PC back in the old days. I wonder how much he'd alienanate the rest of the country!?

Yeah he was orginally PC back in the old days. He used to be PC party leader after Kim Campbell, but I still think western Canada would still embrace him due to his PC heritage.

Oh come on Jean Charest pnws Manning. The moment Reform joined the PC Manning became Joe Clark. And Kim Campbell, man I feel sorry for her. She will always be known as the fall women for Mulroneys nuttyness during the 80's. The man was Regan's little dog.
