Beiner
(My moment of silence) Every time I think about it, it makes me feel great reverence. I have a friend who had been discharged at age 21 a year ago with a purple heart. Never brags, never thinks he's greater than anyone else. Wouldn't know it if you didn't see his license plate. Then I think of the guys who got shot or never found enough of them to leave Iraq, Afganistan etc... Men and women just doing their jobs.

freeskier8585
Isn't the real Memorial day on May 30th. I heard that it was moved to the last Monday on May during the 70's to make it a three day weekend, just to help retailers out. In Canada our Memorial day is called Remembrance day and it has always been on Nov. 11th.vet's day for us in nov 11.. i think... i didnt get it off from school so i forget (pretty sweet considering i go to a military college)
