S60r Manifold Versus Stock Manifold

In light of the way my EST downpipe rubs on my swaybar, I really need to answer this question ... does the S60R exhaust manifold change the the position of the turbo? In other words, is the turbo flange held out farther to the firewall or drawn in closer to the block, compared to the stock 850 manifold? Does anyone have the two manifolds that they can put side-by-side and take measurements?

From what I remember it's exactly the same, but it's be so long and I didn't take measurements.

Do you have the S60R manifold, or are you looking at it to remedy the problem? Another option is to sell the pipe to me, and get another.;)

no change at all....keeps everything the same as stock 850 manifold.

I know that's what everyone says, and I'm inclined to believe it since I've actually held one in my hands ... but I need proof for EST. Anyone?

You still have them? Care to hold a measuring tape up and snap pics? :)

can't put them side by side anymore, but I can send you a stock turbo manifold if you pay the shipping and you can find out for yourself, or you can just take my word for it....it may be off my mm, but not more than that.

Pras - it's not a matter of ME taking your word for it. Like I said, I agree but I need it for Frank.

I have the stock manifold off my V70, but I really don't want to take the turbo and S60R manifold off my 850 just for this.

gotcha, makes sense....run to the dealer with your stock and measure?

I have an S60R mani at home in the garage. I'll be back there tomorrow night (Wednesday) and can measure things for you if you need. Will be able to post results Thursday.

Let me know

Although I'm pretty sure the positioning is identical to stock 850 manifold. The runners and collector are massively different, in a good way however.

i really think the only difference is that the S60 R manifold is stronger, less proned to cracking than the 850 one under heating and cooling. the runners were a bit different, maybe better flowing, but as far as positioning, it was IDENTICAL to the 850 one, you just have to have the different heatshields if you want, but other than that, it's all kosher, no change in downpipe position or turbo position at all.

Good deal Miles! You have a loose stock manifold as well?

if Miles doesnt, Kevin should have one, Carson should have one, and if no one does, then let me know ASAP so I can send my 850 one to Miles cuz it'll get there quicker than sending from the NE.
