EricF Posted August 7, 2006 Report Share Posted August 7, 2006 Well I mentioned it a few times, but now have picked a date (still up to be changed if necessary).This will be a meet centered on the assembly of my 242 GT, it will be a crazy 2-3 day build of a car. My garage will be clean, organized, and ready to go, and all the parts we will be using (along with the car itself) will be clean, organized, and ready to go. Highlights of this build:-Junkyard B23FT with 405 head to replace early style B21F-2 fiberglass shell race seats with harnesses and harness bar (possible addit'l chassis bracing inside the car)-Wiring MS (fuel-only-- should be dead easy to set up and tune, wiring harness partially made right now anyway)-Painting the carThere are countless other aspects of the build, most are detailed here:http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/Orlando-Mee...dup-t55781.htmlhttp://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=77252We'll have air tools, countless hand tools, a dunk tank, possibly a drill press, bench grinder, and of course my best friend Mr. Super Dremel.There will be side attractions to the meet!We will be going to the track Friday night, and depending on the condition of my 850 it may make one final voyage down the 1/4 mile, aiming for ridiculous numbers.We will be barbecuing Saturday like only us Orlandonians/Orlandoans/Floridians know how, and there will be fresh beer aplenty throughout the wrenching, as well as FWD scare rides in the crazy 850 if it stays together (seperate from beer drinking of course). Upon completion of the car, will be handing out rides to all who have helped and are still around.There will be limited partying, probably no keg this time (want to keep things under control for the neighbors, who aim to have me out of my house), BUT limited partying to us is probably short only of the SE meet shenanigans.Probably have the Xbox running racing games throughout the duration, maybe have a raffle or two depending on who shows up.
