Im replacing my whole new front suspension so i took everyting off except for the tie rod end i cant get it out from the place where it connect with the bolt to the wheel hub assembly.... i took the nut off but why doesnt it come out???? plz help i need to get this done asap. Matts 850 GLT Posted October 14, 2006 Report Share Posted October 14, 2006 HiI needed a ball joint seperator, very easy to use then the tie-rod end came off in two parts. Deuss Posted October 14, 2006 Author Report Share Posted October 14, 2006 well i did rent that thing and i used it and used it and used it, then i smack it and smack it and smack it..... and no progresssssss... so i got a power saw and cut the thing off took it to the vice grip clamp it in... and smacked it with the hammer and it came out.... now i cant put in the new one.... im going to the store to buy a drill bit to bore the hole out... a little wooho.... I don't know what to tell you except stay the hell away from it with a drill bit! If the tapered stud on the tie rod end doesn't fit snugly into its mating hole in the spindle, you will have to replace your spindle. Nice going Yeah, I'd probably stay away from it with a drill...I just beat the tar out of mine until it come free. Note: there was a LOT of tar to beat out...I was exhausted. Good luck.
