So we decide to hang out tonight since we never get to see him.On the way, Drew (roommate) and I walk into a Conoco in OKC. I grab a case of Coors Light, Drew comes with me since he drove. We get to the register and the lady wants TWO ID's. "Two ID's?" we inquire. "Yes. Are you a minor?" she asks Drew. "Yes I am," he says. "Well then I can't sell you this," she says. "I'm not buying it," Drew says. "Well, you're going to drink it," she says. "No I'm not, I just drove my friend here and came in for a pack of cigarettes," Drew replies. The lady says, "No, I won't sell this to you if you're under age," apparently not grasping the simple fact that I am purchasing and not Drew. So after a short and unproductive argument, I put back the beer and walk out quite annoyed. Then we go to another gas station and I leave young Drew in the car while I buy the adult beverages. What was the deal with this lady? All she did was disrupt by five minutes what would otherwise inevitably happen; she can't stop me from buying what I am legally allowed to buy with or without a minor in my presence - it's not a liquor store, it's a GAS STATION. If a man walks in with his 6-year-old son and buys beer, would they card the son? I deem this situation absolutely ridiculous and frivolous - and thus I give you the ridiculous situation of the evening. Good night.
