1984 245 Diesel W/ Manual Transmission

Recommended Posts

One owner car, bought new in Houston, Texas by my parents. Always garaged, not driven much the last 5 years. Has 125Kish on it (I need to look and get an exact number). Just replaced the timing belts and some coolant hoses last year. Has good tires, etc on it. Could stand to have some suspension work done (struts, bushings, etc...usual 240 stuff). No body rust. No cracks/broken interior parts other than the cover on the bottom of the back seat is cracked. Interior is VERY clean for a 1984 240.

Just had the car professionally buffed. Having new rear window glass installed (Car was parked outside while I was working on another one in the garage, left and came back home and it was busted out?). No major dents, dents, etc.

Not sure what it's worth, open to reasonable offers (IE do not PM me and offer me $500.). I would prefer that you call me at (940) 368-2818 if you are seriously interested. I would consider trades for something reasonable- no projects. Hoping to find a home for it within the Volvo community. I'm going to give it 2 weeks on here then put it out for sale to the general public.

Selling because my Mom is battling breast cancer and since they removed lymphnodes from under her right arm she is not supposed to be driving a stick shift and the car is basically sitting around so she has said sell it.

At any rate if you are interested please CALL me at 940-368-2818.

$5000

the best, cleanest 240 I've ever seen....no other comparison to this in it's age. man, all I have to say is "V8"

oh, and call me.

Or turbo diesel...

I concur, this IS the cleanest 240 (4 or 5) I have ever seen. The paint is in better condition than my own! And the interior is VERY clean.

Nick, I'm working the overnights right now, so finding a time to call is difficult. I'm seriously interested, but price will be the deciding factor. If you wouldn't mind PM'ing me a ballpark number, I'd love to talk.

No real good idea on a ball park but it won't be like $2500 or anything like that. I've got a ton of interest on it so I might e-bay it and let it go that way.

Nick

beautiful car, too bad it's a wagon.

If you own a wagon and it's a Volvo it's a good thing...they hold their value better.

Are you interested?

I do not know what it is worth- no one really does. Values are all over the place because so few come up for sale and often they are in poor shape. This is not a feeler ad, the car truly is for sale. When I determine what it is worth I will post a more definite price- I threw that out there so I do not get the typical low ballers that the internet is full of and to let people know that if they think they are going to snatch it up for $1000 they need to move on. I've gotten offers all over the spectrum. Right now I'd say $5000. Is it worth that? I have no idea. I have offers in that area though.

I think most people got the point of the ad- the car is really more of a sentimental thing for my family than having the highest offer. Obviously that helps but logistically things would come into play as far as where people are located. Also, I need to find something newer with an automatic for my mom to drive which is why I threw that out there.

I am not trying to be rude or scam someone just find a good home for the car which is why I asked people to call me instead of just sending PMs.
