The blue are H&R,the black are EIBACH.H&R are shorter but also thicker than the EIBACH.I had EIBACH and Koni yellow,OEM sway bars and 16" rims and I was very unsatisfied.

Now I'll put H&R with Koni FSD 18"PEGASUS and IPD sway bars, and I believe it will be better

Anyone running Eibachs on a wagon? If yes, how much cargo load can it take in the back i.e. can it take a fully loaded wagon?

I'm trying to decide between R wagon springs vs Eibachs. R sedan springs don't carry load well in a wagon.

How is that setup working for you? How is the ride quality? I am still debating whether or not bilstein TC's are worth the extra money over the Sensatracs.

I love it. Its ALMOST as smooth as stock. Plus lower. I stayed far far away from bilseins because they are known to ride rough, and also to raise your car up a bit.

i wish somebody will make springs that lower our volvos by 55mm like what H&R offers BMWs w/ their race springs ;)

There are KAW springs 60/40 in Germany. You get an idea here and here ;)

Most people I heard were complaining about H&R offering a really rough ride. Eibach are softer and I guess they'd be a better combination for FSDs. When I called Koni's technical support they told me that FSDs work best with stock springs...

There are no OEM lowering or R wagon springs for "normal" shocks. The R springs are too soft because Rs have nivomats. I tried lowering springs from the sedan/coupe but they don't even really carry the weight of an empty wagon.

So you have to get aftermarket lowering springs like Eibachs or "normal" wagon springs.

Good...

Better than stock, but I also have HD endlinks, a strut bar, and stock sways. I am sure it would be better with koni yellows, but I am happy :).

Cool. I have HD endlinks and will be adding a strut brace and possibly rear sway bar. I would have like to get Koni yellows, but I can't justify spending that much on shocks for a daily driver that will never see a track (save for maybe a 1/4 mile).

Anyone confirm this? I've seen 855R springs for sale in VS but didn't say it was for Nivos.

Does Eibach make springs specifically for wagons?

i has the koni fsd + eibach setup, and the ride quality is very smooth, very stable at speed. There was also a dramatic decrease in body roll and brake dive.

however, the drop is not very drastic, but then again i got them installed 2 days ago. (i heard that the springs will drop a little more after they are all worn in, is this true?)

R wagons always had the sport suspension with nivomats! I've even talked to Volvo Germany about rear OEM wagon lowering springs for standard shocks for example Oehlins. There are no rear Volvo sport springs for wagons without nivomats. You're supposed to use the sedan sport springs with Oehlins but as I said you get the problem with a real low end. <_<

Eibach has different springs for wagons and sedans (rear only) but you guys over there only seem to get the set for the wagons anyway.

You can get them directly from KAW (www.fahrwerke.de) or even ebay (for example article 160256429969). Talk to them about a discount or a group buy. I guess they can do something. Their boss also had a Volvo (S60R)... ;)
