Zulu
Before we go on, I know, I know SharpHID next time. Got it.I made the mistake of buying a mydepots kit, it's junk. This first kit arrived with a dead ballast, and they didn't reply to any attempt at contact. Gave up and bought a ballast on eBay. Another dummy move. I have already blown that second ballast, which was on the right side. Is this an ongoing issue, that the chinese kits blow on that side? This is the first I have heard of it.I don't know, got my original HIDs off of Adrian, Jamaica2G...think he was initially selling them, don't remember. I always had the issue on the right side, blew 3-4 bulbs even if I swapped the ballasts...no issues now.

TaskMule
Most Chinese cheap stuff is just junk. Our ballasts are made in Taiwan and they have a far better level of quality control. Apexcone also makes sure they are making a product they can back with a lifetime warranty.Good to know. I'll buy from you next time. But, from my original post, still wondering if there is a tendency for the right side ballast to blow more than the left on 850's?. It could be that case but without some more data it is hard to say for certain.

I turned my lights on in the rain and the right side bulb didn't, drove through some dry land, lights dried off...turned on and both worked fine. Once they heated up I drove through the hurricane with no issues. Maybe heat them up always before a chance of rain.

I read you get more light output at 6000 then at 8000 and I'd rather have better quality of light than a ricy look anyday!

S40T5TurboGT
give john a chance to help you. I generally just PM him when i need to track him down.why don't you have any lights now?He called me and offered to send them me a shipping label, I need healights now though. I knocked one of the old halogens over on the floor and this kit is an 8K with a 35WW ballast and no bulb out warning kit, so the lights don't work at all. I had to swap out my fogs. So now I have no fog lights and a $90 HID kit, instead of the 160 dollar kit I paid for. He offered me the option of putting a deposit in so he would just send the correct HID kit but he wants 130 dollars which is 40 more then the kit is even worth AND he already has 160+ dollars of my money already. I am not comfortable at all with this. I have a useless HID kid, No fogs, and Halogen lights and am missing 160+ dollars and now I'm being asked for more, and I have been waiting all week for it to come, cali to FL shipping isn't super quick. Overnight is 66 dollars, and thats insane If the deposit was lower it would be fine but 130 bux is to high. I mean 30 dollars yes 130 no. I am not paying more then the things are worth, and they have 160 bux.I confirmed the order and even shot them an email before hand to ask about 55k kit, and I was told I need the harness but what I got lack both items. The only thing I can think of doing is shipping this one, and giving a tracking number to him and same from him to me. I really dont see the need for me to spend any more money then I have to, to fix a swaping of an order.
